[Solved] Bullet lists in posts?

edited June 2016 in General App Discussion

Does anyone know why I can't get bullets to work in my posts? Other people are successful at it. But even when I quote their posts, which look right when they post them, don't come out right in my post. All other Markdown seems to work so I don't get this one. Any ideas?

I put in this:

I want a bullet below here:

* Bullet 1
* Bullet 2

And I get this:

  • Bullet 1
  • Bullet 2

I put in this:

1. Numbered line one
2. Numbered line two

** And I get this:**

  1. Numbered line one
  2. Numbered line two

    OK, wierd. It worked on the original post but does it work here?

    Test:

    • Bullet 1
    • Bullet 2

    Test 2:

    1. Number one
    2. Number two
  • I was foxed by this also, and each time I forget it does this: it fails to preview it properly, it only does it properly when actually posted.

  • Insert facts:

    • fact one
    • fact 2
    • fact 3

    Kinda freaks out here too. I used the numbered bullets to get the above.

  • Ahh ... I've been going back and re-jiggering my posts to compensate. So I've never actually posted anything with the right format. Cool. Pls ignore!

  • You just need to have a blank line before and after the bullets. It will look wrong in preview, but will look correct once posted.
