  • Probably this;

  • Full support for Import & Export of all file-types generated or supported by the app using standard 'iOS Document Picker / iCloud Drive'.

  • I like being able to tap things and then they make a sound. That never gets old.

    Expressive playability.

"Now go finger your surfaces, and have a lotta fun doing it." :)

Bluetooth audio (without latency) for headphones and speakers working with all apps would be great. And more translations ! Music apps are the only one who never get translated (at least the setting menu ,i know What is adsr and cutoff knobs).Video games, graphism Video and photo apps are in french ,spanish, german, japanese, chinese.Even the french dev (arturia, uvitouch ,fingerlab) don't translate their app in their Own langage.English is almost Universal that' for sure but Why are the others apps category translated and not the musical one? And of course all apps should have in long term link and Au implemented...

  • Scale lock for keyboards and piano rolls help me a lot.

In fact they are pretty much essential.

Automation ,polyphonic glide and touch screen aftertouch.

  • Portability.

  • Makes my Ableton VST's now touchable using studiomux

  • ...when I use them, here and there a cool deep female voice PANs in from L to R (but not extreme L or R) and says: hey, what a cool tune you're working on, bet it's gonna be a top 10 once you finish...

You need the open world upgrade....I get that voice even if I'm not using iOS :D

  • Randomizer for everything ...

  • Being able to sit on my sofa and create sounds by touch, rather than staring at a computer and clicking a mouse or balancing a less versatile, bulky hardware synth on my lap.

  • Mappable MIDI control of parameters.

My 2 cents/4 words about this: I won't say by any mean that this is a silly request because it is not but, as far as my experience goes, if at a certain moment all my apps, devices and so on would suddenly get translated to Italian I would be completely lost. LFO turns into OBF, VCF into FCV, cutoff I don't even know how could it be translated. Fortunately vibrato and tremolo are Italian words at first :)
Another plus of having just one language unifying all of this makes it damn easy to look for resources and knowledge on the web

I know it was more for the manual and settings menu than the User interface. But Im sure that a lot of musicians in the world don't buy because They don't speak English or have no idea of What happens in their screen If They don't understand the Words...I have Nothing against english i like this langage but i don't understand Why the translations are so rare in the musical world (garage band is translated). And in french we have Do ré mi fa sol la si do instead of ABC
    It's easy as, 1 2 3
As simple as, do re mi
    A B C, 1 2 3

Portability. Immediacy. Simplicity (for the most part).

This. Combined with scale lock keyboards, ya know like that one app with the blocks and chords

  • Two words....

    Audio Units!

    :)

  • If it weren't for proprietary equipment schemes and OS features designed to make older iOS devices obsolete I would say the ability to hook up a mixer through the CCK with usb3. Then plug in and route midi like you would on a mac or pc. AUM is certainly a life saver when it comes to midi routing.

  • I'm sorry, but the all time IOS app feature for me is one we all probably take for granted: being able to connect apps together through Audiobus and now AUM. And the universe it created.

  • Actually, upon further reflection my favorite would be this thing im not sure there's an agreed upon name for, but i would call it "one touch note recording." It can be found in figure and ikaossilator. The main benefit is that a user can record a note sequence with the data being recorded as touches on the playing surface, which when played back, one can easily view the touch indicators. Most importantly, this allows for fluid, seamless variations of phrases as you only need to touch/trigger different notes as the sequence plays, and because only one touch is recorded at a time, the melody snaps to wherever. So you've got a melody looping and record is enabled, to vary the melody you just touch it at a few different notes here and there. There's no overdubbing or re recording the whole phrase. Does this make sense?

  • XYpad with record ?

  • 6 year veteran of the Kaos Pro Im picking up what you are laying down. I can play piano riffs and record them with the loop editor and layer over them and mix within it. It's onboard effects processor is pretty solid. The Midi capabilities are endless, and I still am finding sounds I have never heard before.

  • I love your sofa and of course your IKao.The best iOS IKao is the magelan yonac's touch pad (two keyboard ,Matrix with midi in and out ) ,the tc data and the TNR I in mho .I have no hardware ,only an old MAudio keyboard .

I was in one of those fuck it moods yesterday and sat on the love seat and laid out some ideas from the couch lol. Not my proudest moment, but it was comfortable considering the massive migraines I get.

Be proud. That is my method 100%. Couch plus fuck it mood=my best ideas. If i try to plan anything or give a single thought like "hmm what am i feeling today" I end up overthinking it and terrible music happens.

  • Having a built in sequencer.

AudioBus, enabling sounds to come together, and AUM as the Bifrost bridge between combined apps and a DAW.

    +1
