JUCE - LOL, I didn't realize what I started on the JUCE forum.

I was just trying to find out if the JUCE library would be an option for iOS/Audiobus/AU&MacOS/AU/VST cross-platform development and came across this thread on the JUCE forum:
https://forum.juce.com/t/audiobus/10717
...just to find out I had started it almost 3 years ago while working at dlab, and that the thread was still active! The good news is that Audiobus support is likely to come to JUCE in the near future because the JUCE developers need it for their own products. :-)

  • The bad news is that commercial use of JUCE is very expensive

IMHO a one-off 1000$ payment or 50$/month is very reasonable for what you get (assuming you're an independent developer like me, for companies it's a bit more expensive if you do cross-platform development). But seeing the revenues you can get from iOS apps, it probably doesn't make sense to get JUCE if that is your main revenue stream. That's why I'm looking at the desktop market, too (VST/AU/AAX).

  • Very cool and JUCE is also enabling AU on iOS...I'm hoping we see some Korg Auliciousness as a result
