T.V. Watching App? (U.S.A.)
Long and short...............Flat Screen TV stopped working.
Just wont turn on.
Not going to buy TV this weekend.
However, still may want to watch some TV tomorrow or tom night.
Does anyone have any apps or sites that can serve this purpose for me?
Thanks in advance.

Who is your content provider? I have DirecTv and use their app frequently. Most of the big cable channels, HBO, SHO, TBS, etc. have their own apps as do the major US broadcast networks. Nearly all of them will want you to sign in through your provider or pay a subscription fee.
For pirate tv, Google the channel you want, plus the words "live stream" e.g. MSNBC live stream. Many of these channels can only be viewed on a desktop, but there are outliers.
Does Netflix offer the first month free? Also, if you don't have Amazon prime, I find it worth it, and there are some ok movies and shows on prime video. You may get a free trial for prime also.
Comcast/Xfinity
Cool idea
Trial period
They have several apps. I think you'd want xfinity tv.
I really have to plug cord cutting. I know that this thread is about a broken TV. However, I have really enjoyed "cutting the cord", and never looked back. Amazon prime would be worth it with out the prime video. But Amazon prime video is an added plus. Netflix has many great series. I am working my way through 40+ issues of Alfred Hitchcock presents.
I also have a Roku, which I love. I watch Netflix and Amazon, as well as YouTube. Plus I have a lot of other channels.
Finally, I also like Kodi. There is a vanilla installation, but you can also find third party package in sellers. One of my favorite extras for Kodi is the karaoke app. Fun times with the family.
@RustiK - I only have Comcast Internet, so it doesn't work for me and there descriptions are a bit cryptic as to what you get "with subscription" , but your Comcast/Xfinity subscription may get you free access through one of these:
XFINITY TV by Comcast
