How to sequence Ruismaker or iSEM in AUM by using Auria?

I sheepishly admit that I have been unsuccessful at using Auria to sequence AU's in AUM.

I

  1. Open AUM and load iSEM at the top of a slot.

  2. Verify it's working by using AUM's keyboard.

  3. Start a new project in Auria and create a new midi track.

  4. In the channel strip, set channel to 1 and set output to Auria. Input remains on ALL. The default patch, Stereo Grand, remains unchanged, so that I can have an onscreen keyboard in Auria.

  5. In AUM, in the right hand midi-routing patchbay, connect Auria (virtual) to iSEM @ ch 1.

  6. In Auria's midi settings, in the Core Midi Outputs Panel, "send notes" is highlighted next to AUM.

So now I would expect that when I play a note on the little Auria keyboard, or when I play a few notes that I placed in the midi track, that I would hear both Auria's Stereo Grand and AUM's iSEM. But I don't. All I hear is Stereo Grand.

What am I missing or doing wrong?
