How to sequence Ruismaker or iSEM in AUM by using Auria?
I sheepishly admit that I have been unsuccessful at using Auria to sequence AU's in AUM.
I
Open AUM and load iSEM at the top of a slot.
Verify it's working by using AUM's keyboard.
Start a new project in Auria and create a new midi track.
In the channel strip, set channel to 1 and set output to Auria. Input remains on ALL. The default patch, Stereo Grand, remains unchanged, so that I can have an onscreen keyboard in Auria.
In AUM, in the right hand midi-routing patchbay, connect Auria (virtual) to iSEM @ ch 1.
In Auria's midi settings, in the Core Midi Outputs Panel, "send notes" is highlighted next to AUM.
So now I would expect that when I play a note on the little Auria keyboard, or when I play a few notes that I placed in the midi track, that I would hear both Auria's Stereo Grand and AUM's iSEM. But I don't. All I hear is Stereo Grand.
What am I missing or doing wrong?

It works. You don't play Lyra keyboard, that is only for Lyra StereoGrand.
Regarding your No. 4: There is no output to Auria, only AUM there.
NO. 5: the source is upper part. Destination right hand side. Your source is 'AUM destination'.
@markk,
For RUISmaker
If you want that part of RUISmaker midi sequence recording back to Auria:
These photos for the Auria midi to AUM, then Audiobus back from AUM to Auria audio track.
Oops, in 4. I meant set output to AUM.
Great, iSEM is working, thanks @Kaikoo! I'll check out your Ruismaker instructions later.
But first, is there a routing that will allow me to use an on-screen keyboard to record midi notes for iSEM in Auria while actually hearing iSEM play? In the current system that you've helped me set up, I have to use the Lyra keyboard with Lyra's patch.
I did it! In AUM I just set keyboard to send to Auria.
@markk,
FingertipMidi HD and SoundPrism Link are good. Your input is on 'all' in that Auria Instrument channel. So adjusting midi channels to 'all' if use with SP link. Navichord is also your choice. They are very easy to use on their setting.
Firo also free to use.
Auria has no internal universal keyboard.
Ok, excellent and great. So AUM keyboard is good for using on both Auria and AUM instruments now.
Also at the same time you can have Auria Piano Roll Sequencer to AUM by your routing photo.
All done, your problem solved.
For now!
Thanks again.
Fantastically helpful, guys. But I'm unclear on how to use an app like navichord in Auria. That's just an arrangement between Navichord and, say, iSem. Navichord never appears in the Auria settings, correct?
Auria midi instrument midi in -> choose Navichord virtual out
I hate to ask but what can you do in AUM that you can't do in Auria?
Host Ruismaker...
Play a larger on-screen keyboard. I look forward to Auria getting a bigger universal keyboard and hosting more AU's. I'd rather not have to use AUM.
This is the answer! Your Auria can not do! It fails!
Hahahaha

@markk your routing works! Excellent!
through trial and error I now have Auria recording the iSem chords played by Navichord.
Here's the routing:
Midi Inputs in Navichord: iSem midi input.
Midi Outputs in Navichord: Navichord Virtual Out and Auria.
In Auria I have Navichord Virtual Out as the input and AUM as the output.
AUM
I would have thought that I could bypass AUM just have iSem as the output in Auria. Doing so killed the sound of the synth and replaced it with the piano sound. Not sure why iSem has to live in AUM if i'm not using the AUM keyboard. Whatever! I've got sound.
