does drum perfect pro do reggae drums
im looking for something to generate realistic reggae drums, is drum perfect pro the best bet? Will I need any of the IAPs to do it?
Thanks

All patterns must be approved by the Universal Reggae Commission to be certified as Confirmed Reggae.
I don't know if it is the best bet, (I would say actually yes,) but you know that it's the rhythm that you make, that makes it sound dub/reggae... with accent on 3rd beat.
Nice feature with DPP is that you can have several tracks open and apply appropriate FX per track...
I import samples from my wav lib.
@rhcball
Do submitters 'dread' getting the URC decision
I thought that drum perfect had pre built rhythms, I can program drums fine, and am a big fan of the one drop pattern, but am looking to not have to get to down and dirty with the programming.
I thought that's what you meant, I don't think there is anything like that pre made in DPP and the IAP sound packs are more jazz, Latin oriented...
Cheers for the info...I'll spend my money on something else then Model 15 maybe
What????? You don't have model 15?....this is blasphemy
I held off as I have had pretty much every synth, just got a voucher for Father's Day, so assessing my options, Model 15 was my first thought.
How do I switch to the customer plan where I get iTunes credit instead of this lazily painted piece of wood that says I Love Dad?
You won't regret Model15 ....state of the art synth on iOS....(I am not selling)
Mess whatever drums you have up with flanger, spring reverb and some crunchy delay, instant dub.

FingerBeat is not bad for making a One Drop loop
Be nice if the dev added Link now
Awesome synth but holy CPU hog... i regret on my Mini2 it is not worth it. have yet to try Air1 but I do not predict much difference.
You need to use an i&iPad.
The kids are all getting older now, jack daniels, wine, chocolate and iTunes Thankyou family, having a lovely day.
Hmmm I'm on mini 2.
You mad buggers
Cheers for the hints, I'll check these out
Orrrriginal.
http://www.how-to-play-reggae.com/Play-Reggae-Drum-Beats.html
i am after an app that will play the drums for me, like the drummers in GarageBand, without me needing to program them, then I will be in reggae drum Babylon
It's not that difficult
In a grid it looks like this ...
(It's step 9 ) the 3rd beat
(In techno you have it on the back beat (2 and 4)
This is like techno a 4/4 groove it gets this halftime feel from counting 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 instead of 1 2 3 4
So the backbeat moves back to the 3 instead of being on 2 and 4
Add swing to taste
LMAOOO
I can program a one drop, but getting the right shuffle to the hats can sometimes require using half tempo, which doesn't work well with link.
I want something that would generate fills etc...
Nice Its the guitar I wanna really be playing but spend too much time putting everything else together
^^ program a simple one drop and jam over it
Program a 2nd pattern that u play every x bars so it doesn't get so boring ...
(Auto fill 808 like)
Yeah that's what I have been doing, i had thought that maybe DPP would do that for me.
