New DDMF AU Envelope Reverb Animoog test

Thought I'd post a test of the new DDMF AU Reverb with one of my favourite Animoog patches sequenced and modulated into it.

https://appsto.re/gb/O5v4cb.i

I created a fairly large 'church' reverb preset of my own in DDMF for this. I'm liking this new AU so far.

I'd be keen to hear people's impressions of what they think about this test.

  • Matt,

What is your dry/wet percentage on this?

About 50 dry/wet - slightly more dry probably

  • Matt, thanks for sharing.

Yes, I normally have it there around 40-55.

You have a very big 'size' for that. I guess it is called 'presence'. I usually have it around 50 too.

  • Sounds excellent!

  • it sounds so beautifully !
Thanx @Matt_Fletcher_2000 :) What is the name, please, of this wonderful preset in Animoog ? Love it !

It's based on 'memories' from the Richard Devine set - but I've tweaked it a bit.

If you move around Animoogs XY pad you get all sorts of nice different sounds from that patch.

  • Thank you Matt, I now know what I'll do tonight :)

Is that how it always looks? With the white space around it?

  • it sounds really good.

but the white space is really odd indeed.

  • Do the screws poke out of the back of the iPad :D

  • I would never buy a very good, professional sounding reverb unit with white space around it!

Yep. I think so. There is more or less white space when hosted in different AU orientations / hosts. But yep, white space round the edge.

  • The developer is planning to deal with the white space in an update :)

  • Wow, I'm on buying lockdown at the moment, but I am so happy to see ddmf here as a dev. His vst stuff is fantastic and reasonably priced. I hope he remains active in iOS. The eq he makes is excellent. Auria plugins someday perhaps? Or au in auria (even better).

The developer was referring to this as the first in a series of plugins for iOS ... so there is probably more to come

  • I'm certainly liking the quality of this reverb. And the simplicity of the UI.

Nice. Thanks for sharing your track here. Gives a good sense of what one can achieve with it. Cool! :+1:

it's hard to tell without knowing the dry sound - such reverbs always come around a bit flattering
but if you really want to challenge a reverb, set it to 100% wet and use the smallest room setting...
(that's usually of few practical use, but will clearly reveal any artifacts ...)

    cheers, Tom
