Korg NanoKontrol vs NanoKey?
I'm seeing lots of posts on Korg NanoKey as opposed to NanoKontrol.. Why do you suppose that is? NanoKontrol not shipping yet, perhaps?
Comments
I have both. They are equally very good.
I think because they serve different functions. I've been waiting for a truly mobile MIDI keyboard, and so far the nanoKEYStudio seems like the perfect one for me.
The nanoKONTROL Studio seems to me more fitted for live use, as you gain control of the sliders and transport controls. I don't play live, so I don't need that real time functionality. It looks great for what it's meant to do though.
NanoKey is perfect for me - I barely ever use a keyboard anyway but when I do I want it to fit in my laptop case, and I never seem to use any of the knobs and sliders on my other controllers, just the keyboard.
is there any other good alternative to these korg models? Something that someone has used and rates highly?
Im on holiday for a month soon and wanted to pack a little keyboard for myself and my young son to play with to practice the piano etc
thanks in advance for any replies.
sorry, i have been looking at the CME xkey as an option and came across this great review
Dblonde: Kmix is good, but pricey...But it has no moving parts so it's great for a backpack.. Hmmm.. Thanks for all of your comments, guys..
I'll go w NanoKONTROL since I already have the keyboard. But I like the NanoKEY layout. Reminds me of my old Yamaha QY 70 which was quite playable.
