AUM recordings not being saved
This has happened to me too many times now to be user error/forgetfulness on my part.
Basically I use aum as my main recording software - I have a range of saved preset IAA rigs which I load up, jam with, and record. Every now and then though I go back to listen to what I recorded and it's not there.
Tonight I was mucking about with voxsyn, via a preset rig I'd saved. First jam - recorded no problem. Had another go, better performance this time but no app or setting changes - recording not there.
Really frustrated with this - aum is my favourite app, but losing once in a lifetime performances is very frustrating. Anyone else having issues, or do I need a reinstall?
Just to say it records perfectly 9 times out of 10, I just don't get why every now and then the recording just isn't there.

Just me then lol
Are you sure the recordings are not there? Maybe they were saved in a different folder for some reason?
For example if you reloaded the last session rather than explicitly opening a saved session the recordings might be in the "Untitled" folder.
Nah I've looked everywhere. I didn't close the session, so it should be in the same folder anyway. This has happened before. There's not even a short recording, as might happen if I'd accidentally hit the stop button.
Very frustrating as it was a decent jam. I might start using Auria as the record out option, though it'll limit how many apps I can run in my jam.
I've noticed a similar thing. Simple route with imini on the input but no recording. That would happen on and off though.
I think I had that happen if I stopped the recording by pressing the "Record" button. It always worked okay if I stop the recording by pressing "Pause" instead. Hasn't occurred often enough to know if it's chance or not, though.
@carol - this happened to me yesterday, but it was "user error" as I forgot to tap the record in AUM...I should say I forgot to tap and verify that it was recording. I think I tapped "at it" but probably didn't hit it correctly. Unless you can recreate this every time it would be difficult to diagnose. I'm not saying it's your fault but the most likely thing to check is your process and somehow ensure that indeed the recording function is active before proceeding.
I've noticed this from time to time too.
No I'm certain it's been activated - I'm a bit OCD about stuff like this and always double check
I get this too - quite frequently but not every time.
When you stop the record in AUM, make sure to wait till the next bar is over before switching to audioshare, otherwise the recording won't be saved, it happened to me a lot before reading about it somewhere
@pierre thanks, will give that a try.
I'm guessing this is more than likely the case... at least for me. Because, when I lose the recording and start over... I remember this... wait for the next bar to end... and then the recording gets saved the second time always. I've never lost 2 recordings in a row.
Ahh, that might be it, thanks.
Does that only happen with Link enabled, or all the time?
