Sending Program Change or Fine Tune adjustments to Viking Synth from Modstep

I'm performing with a musician at the moment who uses various instruments which aren't in a 'formalised' pitch. I've been making it work by using the fine tune function in Viking.

I've been planning to set up some triggers in Modstep to save myself the effort of changing it. The two 'pathways' are to send program changes with the fine tune already adjusted, or send the fine tune values themselves (although I can't find a way to set a precise numerical value from Modstep). I know my way around both the apps but after exploring all the obvious ways to do it, nothing has immediately worked.

I'm curious as to why/how the fine tune modulation cc isn't working, but I'm more curious as to how to send program change commands. I've tried activating it in the Modstep clips and putting different numbers in to see what happens, but there seems to be no effect.

I've never worked with program change commands before, so if anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that the apps are linked up correctly as I've tested them by sending note data, which is played as normal.

Thanks
Oscar

I got fine tune to work by using the AU midi controls in AUMs control channel and using midi learn, rather than directly sending the midi info into Viking (which successfully works with notes, but not CCs).
