Problem with DRC unlock restore purchase?
Hey, back a couple weeks ago when DRC ran a sale on their apps, I deleted my beta, left testing to make sure I had a fresh install. Then paid the unlock price. Seemed to go fine and showed unlocked. Did the same with my iPhone install and it too seemed to go fine.
However, I noticed the little yellow beta dot wouldn't go away, so I deleted and reinstalled. Now it won't restore my purchase. Has anyone else had this problem? It now wants to charge me again to unlock. Dang it. This is why I was apprehensive about this "unlock" model to begin with.
Any workarounds? I sent the dev an email, but I hope they don't have me try to take this up with Apple.

I don't have that problem with DRC, but i know of other apps that ask you to "purchase" the IAP again in the dialog window but the next window that pops up confirms it's actually free.
Seemed kinda strange to me at first, but never had problems and got used to it.
In any case, if you get charged again, ask for a refund for that transaction.
what the poster above me said. even if it says buy again as long as its the same apple id its usually impossible to get charged again. u'll just get a message saying you own it already. give it a try. if it does actually charge you then you get in touch with apple.
I tried that, but it asked me to confirm a new charge of $14.99
The dev got back to me lickity split and is already trying to sort it out for me in less than 15mins after I sent the email. Great support I'd have to say.
I just remember others saying they had some issue with this and wondered if it was a known glitch with a workaround.
The trouble is, I'm traveling in Mexico for another 6 weeks and don't have my laptop, nor do I want to have to deal with Apple via an iPad in Mexico.
I think what might have happened is I might have still had one of the betas installed and inadvertently unlocked that one?
I'm not sure if it's possible to still have the beta after installing the legitimate one from the app store. Unless you install the beta later.
When I grabbed mobius lab from the store it pretty much replaced the beta.
With Moebius I also had to delete the beta before installing released version.
That's what I'm 99% sure I did with DRC. The only possibility is that I might have not deleted BOTH betas from iPad & iPhone. Then, thinking I'd deleted both... inadvertently paid the unlock fee on the beta instead. But, that doesn't explain why I was able to "restore purchase" on the second device. Or, why the little yellow beta dot didn't go away for either install, even though I deleted at least one of them.
Still not sure what happened, but DRC support has taken care of it.
If anyone is wondering why I'm bothering with this while in the little Mexican beach town of Melaque... instead of out exploring... That's because it's hot & humid as hell and I'm sweating like a ho in church.
Just came back to my room to cool off and am using this as an excuse to sit by the fan a little while before I get jungle crotch rot.
Did you "Stop Testing" in TestFlight? It's at the bottom of the TF screen for each app you are testing.
Yes, I did... because I remember others were having some issue so I thought I deleted both betas AND stopped testing. But it's possible tha I either didn't delete both betas or stop testing on both TestFlight apps. I was in a hurry as I recall and wanted to nab this awesome synth while it was on a ridiculously low sale price. I might have skipped a step in my excitement.
Now back to sweltering humidity, hiking along the beach, feeling dizzy from dehydration, feet scorching from the blistering sand, eyes burning from sweat and salt spray, and pretending that this is all somehow "awesome."
