  • WOW, beautiful music and an incredible video, I get the impression of wanting to fall into that colourful maze :)

  • take my minutes please! Very cool, stellar!

  • Really great; love the transitions too. Very cinematic. Also making me rethink Egoist, which I assumed was only for trendy glitchy business.

  • Comes back and can confirm Egoist is the bomb...

  • Can you confirm the max length of a sample that Egoist can hold?

  • Awesome all around! If only my 2 minute beats could be a tenth of epic as your musical journeys.

On ipad air or mini2 i load up with about four 2 minute wav files. I do not know of a max length but found using five minutes started to chug.

  • Oh. I thought it was along the lines of Abu Dhabi.... Interesting.
Until this awesome track, I heard only super-percussive glitchy, randomized products of Egoist. Happy to be proved wrong.

Ive been looking, and you can change the step duration so that the 16 steps can cover up to 4 bars if you want. So that would generally slow things down.

There are some great drum sounds. And some great effects.

Well, I really like the tracks you make, and I really liked RSL's here, so I guess that's all the endorsement required.

You will likely hear that super glitchy stuff in the course of getting to where you want to be but as long as those moments don't completely turn you off it is an awesome app with lots of power... For example simply as a triggerer of samples you can have 16 banks x 16 slices, so 256 samples you can sequence in something like modstep. And then the bass sends midi to whatever. Oh man, so much fun sending Midilfo to the Egoist drums to cycle through sounds or change pitch. The effects are so fun too. I always go back to this thing and loved it so much I bought the PC version. A shame they updated the ios one and the projects no longer load on PC but hoping they fix that.

He's right. I have Egoist in a folder marked 'Better than you' to remind me that when I am not getting what I want it's very likely me not it. Great design.

  • Very impressive. I enjoyed listening/watching.

I wish there was a version if Madelbulb 3D for IOS!

I love everything about this!!! I may even try that fractal software

There is a great forum (fractalforums) and a bunch of videos online of how to and people share coordinates/formulas for their creations. Animations are pretty intensive as you basically string 1000s of HD images together. I would never get any music done if I start exploring these fractals though

  • Nicely done.
I like it. A great deal.

  • funny thing, this thread gets me to put Egoist back on here & a little while later i discover a fourteen second video on my phone of my six year old son expressing his hatred of the internet.

@Matt_Fletcher_2000, can you tell me where you do that???

I read the manual and can not figure out where and how do you get 16 steps to 4 bars... I get longer steps but nothing in the region of 4 bars...

    THANKS

  • Great video, awesome piece of music, all over too soon, give us a shout when the albums out and I'll make a post for the site.

Also what is that brass sound from, it comes in around the five minute mark.

It's the number near where the tempo is displayed I think. Says 8 or 4 etc.

    I'll try and check later.

  • Enjoyed the experience! :-)
