ipad mini powered dock/stand with built in 'camera connector' USB port
Hi, Does anyone know of a ipad dock that powers the ipad, but has a USB port also that allows for the connection of midi keyboards, soundcards, usb hubs etc? I am fed up with using the apple camera connector and the ipad running out of juice halfway through a session. I hoped the focusrite Itrack would do the trick but you cant plug in souncards or USB hubs, only a few select midi keyboards it seems. thanks

well, there's this new version of the CCK with additional power source
(Apple shure knows how to make some extra bucks...)
the Focusrite dock is a 'soundcard'... or do you mean external input (for additional line in etc) ?
the iConnectAudio4+ is a nice package:
charges iPad, 2 DIN midi connectors, a midi USB port, 2 ports (USB) for any combination of IOS/OSX/Win
wouldn't mind the dock-factor much... it's just one lightning cable anyway...
I use an iPad mic-stand-holder with just the bottom part of a table mic-stand sitting on the interface
(way more convenient than my former ioDock)
cheers, Tom
The new usb3 CCk let's you power the iPad and use USB devices simultaneously. It even works with a battery bank. That might be better then getting a dock IMHO. Since using something like a 20000 mah battery bank you can still be mobile and keep your iPad fully charged for hours. And if you need mains power just plugin the iPad charger with your existing lightening cable. Best of both worlds.
