Wrong ratings in the AppStore
I'm sure most have of course noticed that there are often "wrong" infos from apple from apps of every kind in the store. Of course most of us read first the developer descriptions where also is written what devices are supported. But often in apple's info below there are supported older devices which seems to end in a lot of one star ratings when i read the reviews. I'm the only one who find this a kick in the ass for developers (and users). I have no personal problem with this but sometimes it's hurt to see so much wrong ratings because of this. Is this one of Apple's mysterious things. Any developers here know why it's so. Just interested in this...
Also saw this on the Audiobus reviews...

Yea Apples "supported devices" list is just messed up. Developers have to choose from pre- set compatibility lists given by Apple. And why, I have no idea. There's no logic at all behind it, atleast not anymore. So yea, that causes a lot of 1 stars. Devs do their best to go around all this by adding things like required gyroscope or front facing camera etc to be able to download an app, but that only helps so much.
I also noticed that since a while i always see the oldest reviews first... i could swear i saw the latest reviews in the past first (which makes more sense). There happend also some other things to the store which made it not better. The opposite! But i'm just an alien and seems i can't understand the humans logic here
This has been a problem for me as a dev. I eventually put a disclaimer up that warned users not to use it if they had anything less than an iPad 2 or an iPod 5, especially if they will be running audiobus which forces low latency (high cpu) and obviously allows multiple apps to run at once. I think some people try to use old iPods and iPhones and set the latency as low as possible which just isn't going to work, especially with inexpensive apps. I'm thinking about making my newest app and the newest update for my existing app iOS 6 at least to try and remedy the problem. The one star reviews are kind of silly.
