David Cameron sings NINs Hurt

David Cameron sings NINs Hurt:

I hurt the UK today
to try to make a deal
I focus on the rich
their wealth is all that's real
my policies tear a hole
Austerity will sting
try to sell it all away
EU has everything

What have you become
my poorest friend
everyone will know
I'll walk away in the end
EU will take it all
leave your empire in dirt
rules to stomp you down
laws to make you hurt

I wear this grin of shit
West Minster liars chair
full of broken policies
Theresa may not repair
beneath your government
your rights will disappear
you may not see wealth
but mine is still right here

What have you got left
my poorest friend
I leave you Theresa May
I'll walk away in the end
EU will fuck you all
if you don't sing their song
the rich will make a buck
although they know it's wrong

If I could start again
you know what they would say
they all believed my lies
and then I ran away.

  • And YOUR realistic solution is?

So easy to take cheap shots. So hard to have a practical alternative.

  • Yah but cut to video of bits of him using those words would be pretty cool. best art wins!

Yep a video would be good :p

  • I don't think the eu is to blame or immigrants, which btw I'm not saying you're sayin' like, we have a long, long tradition of blaming new arrivals for every ill. Problem as I see it is inequality and an hierarchy which is totally incompetent, we'd be better off ruled by lettuces.

Older I get the more appealing anarchism becomes, as a non political movement, i don't believe people are equipped to hold power over others, as it always seems to lead to the orgy of the damned. I took the eu for granted until I saw what awaited us with the ttip, if you want to talk about a total loss of sovereignty then there is no better example imho.

One good thing to come out of this firestorm though is least now that little shit farage is gone, he suckled for to long at the ample eu teat, that is expenses for euro mp's. He reminded me of that bloke on 911 who after the second plane had hit, went on the internal loud speakers and told everyone to return to their desks, except I don't think he knew what was about to happen, farage on the other hand is a wrong-un, I get the feeling though he'll be back, to lead his flock over the edge.

  • I think if anyone really wants to comment on here, it should be in song :p

  • Renaud is a french singer and in the 80´s he wrote this song about miss Maggie

Women of the world or street
So very often just the same
I love every one I meet
Have they fame or be they plain
Down to the last stupid crow
I praise with every word I utter
    I'm disgusted by men now
With their morals from the gutter
'Cause there's no woman in this land quite so stupid as her brother
Nor so vain or underhand except, maybe, Madame Thatcher

Lady I love you now, I do
'Cause when a sport becomes a war
There's no girls, or very few
Amongst those fans who yell for more
Those with no marbles left to lose
Up to here with hate and beer
    Deifying fools in blue
    Insulting bastards with a sneer
There is no female hooligan, imbecilic, filled with murder
No, not even in Britain except, for sure, Madame Thatcher

    I love woman just because
When she's sitting at the wheel
There's no man-like sense of loss
No urge to kill is yours to feel
    For a slightly damaged headlight
Or for two fingers in the air
There are those who wish to fight
To the death if they but dare
An "up yours" their favourite sign there's no woman so vulgar
To use this symbol all the time except, perhaps, Madame Thatcher

How I love you, dear woman
You don't go to war to die
Because the vision of a gun
Does not make you pant and sigh
Amongst those hunters of the night
Who jump on creatures that are frail
    And occasionnally an Arabite
I've yet to see a female
There is no woman low enough to spit and polish a revolver
Just to feel so bloody tough except, for sure, Madame Thatcher

The atom bomb was never made
    By a human female brain
And no female hand has slayed
Those U.S. peoples of the plain
    Palestinians or Armenians
Bear their witness form the grave
    That a genocide is masculine
Like a SS or a Green Beret
In this bloody mass of man, each assassin is a brother
There's no woman to rival them except, of course, Madame Thatcher

    And lastly Woman, above all
I love hour gentleness so mild
A man draws strength from his own balles
Wich like his gun he shoots from wild
And when the final curtain draws
He'll join the cretins in the harvest
    Playing football, playing wars
Or who can piss the farthest
I would join the doggic host and love my days on earth
As my day to day lampost I would use Madame Thatcher

  • That's more like it @grego68 :)

It's one of those great songs. Trent, Johnny, Peter Murphy and David Bowie have all sung it well, but yes, Mr Cash really made it his own :)

Ok fruitbat1919 you have inspired me to verse, here goes........

We are ruled by plonkers, reprobates,
    halfwits and bankers
With a supporting cast of sycophants,
and an all sorted bunch of wankers

The economy got trashed by toxic assets,
wrapped up in a triple a rating
While the wall street cats were high on coke,
    slapping thighs and furiously copulating

And when the market lurched, tripped and fell,
with the global economy going to hell in a hand basket
Attention was turned to african americans living beyond their means
so people could blow their head gasket

    Austerity, austerity was the cry,
from the financial pulpit of mental midgets
But only to the poor and middle classes this did apply
    as the 1% nervously fidgets

Will we get away with this,
as the transfer of wealth is very blatant
A grunt followed by a long reply,
    murdock will blame immigrants
    for being far too flagrant

And so people looked to demigods
    and also populist toads
As their tiny pensions and savings,
    gradually erodes

And so ends this tragic tail,
    of anger, confusion and uncertainty
Bought about by that old devil greed,
insincerity and a fish called gerdy manhandles.

  • If only the tale did end here.

  • @mister_rz

Two Thumbs up. Thanks for sharing :)

To all: This is what we want. I don't care what politics is your kettle of fish, but done in song it's worthy of putting here :D

Friend of mine came up with this. Not IOS though

Sorry can't get the link up here. Here's the website. The first video on top is the one.

I get a Killing Joke meets Iron Maiden plus Ween and Devo vibe.

Trent probably got something from the cover, but doubt he would be fussed, he has often given music away for free and made money on his skills in other ways. Johnny Cash making a cover of his song, would have done him no harm. Trent also said that Mr Cash did a better job of the song than himself

Tales of woe in verse is much more pleasing than a lengthy monologue, although I get the feeling that the same theme is being expressed from differing vantages.

Sounds like a bunch of weirdos and weeners, although I had a fantastic iron maiden postcard collection, that I foolishly leant to a friend and never got back. Have to correct a typo from metal to mental, then my work is complete.

As is the world and its many ways of thought :)

  • There may not a video for David Cameron but someone was pretty quick off the mark with a rap from our new Prime Minister!

  • Both brilliant. They have some patience editing them together :D

  • Ahh - very nice! But surely pig-humper Dave is more of a 'Piggy' fan?! :* Actually, reading these lyrics - is Trent some kind of a prophet?!

    Hey pig
    Yeah you
Hey pig piggy pig pig pig
All of my fears came true

Black and blue and broken bones you left me here I'm all alone
My little piggy needed something new

    Nothing can stop me now
    I don't care anymore
    Nothing can stop me now
    I just don't care

    Hey pig
Nothing's turning out the way I planned
Hey pig there's a lot of things I hoped you could help me understand
What am I supposed to do I lost my shit because of you

    Nothing can stop me now
    I don't care anymore
    Nothing can stop me now
    I just don't care
    Nothing can stop me now
    You don't need me anymore

listened to them both back to back and back again recently. The cash version is crap imo comparatively. mainstreamization

Also was at the nin/bowie show and recently watched some video of it again. Bowie looks and sounds silly next to trent. That was my feeling then too and I am the biggest bowie fan I know.
    So in conclusion....Trent is awesome.
(although bowie makes trent look silly in the interviews they did together. I can watch Bowie interviews all day with a smile)

  • Missed this thread on its first time around.

Warms my heart just a little to know that stateside we're not the only ones getting angsty about our politics--especially after that shit show of a convention yesterday.

I dug Melania's cover version of Michelle Obama's convention speech, though...

  • Cover version...nice one!
Melania should play to her strengths. Both of them.> @RulesOfBlazon said:
