Linking midi clock but not recording in Loopy HD
Hi,
Newby here, and sorry if this is a stupid question, but I want to be able to do what this guy does in this video
I want to be able to link the midi clock between Novation Launchpad from drum patterns, but then have it so that the drums are not recorded in Loopy when they are played.
Can someone help me out on how to do this?
Thanks,
Kevin

For example every time I try to record a guitar part into loopy then the drums also get recorded at the same time, and then when the 1st loop is recorded I get the drums and the guitar recorded to the same loop track, which of course I don't want.
Are you using Audiobus? If so, and have the multi-lane IAP: set up two lanes in AB. First is mic or audio interface ->Loopy. Second is Launchpad->Speaker. Now, Loopy will only listen for the mic.
If you want to be able to capture it all into app X (say, AUM, Audioshare or Auria) try AB lanes like this:
Now recording app X (AUM above) will get both the Launchpad and Loopy feeds but not the raw audio input. If you want that too you can either set up another lane for Mic->AUM or just turn 'input monitoring' on within Loopy and Loopy will dutifully pass any input it gets to its output (which is routed to AUM via AB).
