Addictive synth -> Garageband error helllp
I just got an iPad Pro and am trying to set up some music creation apps and have read a tonof reviews, articles, watched YouTube videos... And supposedly you can record Addictive Synth into Garage Band using Audiobus, but I have tried multiple times and it says that Addictive Synth reports an error. it doesnt say more than that. it wont record, just records silence into garage band. I can see that you can record within Addictive Synth too, without using garage band at all, but it seems random how long it will let me record for. THen, I cant figure out how to export those files anywhere. do I have to hook up to a computer? My macbook is from 2008 and I dont want to use it. can someone help me find a simple way to record more than a few seconds worth of music i create in Addictive Synth using my IPad? THank you so much. I dont want to spend any more money on apps until I know something will work!

Here's what I tried and it worked....
Open AB
Press input, then press the little blue button next to addictive synth and select the version that says generator.
Press tap to open
Switch back to AB
Press output in AB
Load GarageBand into output slot
Switch to GB.
Create a new Audio track (the microphone).
Switch to Addictive via AB control panel
Press the record button in GB on the AB control panel.
Play something in Addictive.
When you switch back to GarageBand it should have recorded.
Thanks for your response but I have followed those exact steps. within Audiobus , on the Addictive Synth icon, is an error symbol. At the bottom of the screen is a message that says "Addictivesynth is reporting an error. PLease try closing the applications and restarting your device". Or something like that. The closest I could come to recording was one bar worth of silence in Garage Band. I should have enough memory for this.
ok i got it to record now, i am not sure what stopped it before, but now there is a ton of crackling if i touch any knobs in addictive synth. Thanks so much for any advice. MAybe this isnt the best synth app for my needs. i dont want to have to connect my ipad to a computer to record or save files. Is there agood synth that will upload saved files directly from the synth to google drive or dropbox?
Not to be too confusing...but: I just tried on iPhone 6 iOS 9.3.2 using Addictive Micro synth as input via Audiobus to GB output with no problems. Different apps for sure, but I thought they would be pretty much the same...however: Addictive Micro for iPhone was updated Dec, 2015 while the iPad version was updated Nov, 2014...begs the questions what iOS are you running and has anyone else has troubles with Addictive?
Other things to try:
in Audiobus Settings, increase the latency amount.
Delete and reinstall Addictive then try again
Try Addictive as an Inter-App Audio (IAA) input on a GB track. I usually have better luck with apps using Audiobus but sometimes it's worth trying to operate/record using IAA.
Good luck!
