  • @jesse_ohio I don't hear any latency blips or dropouts? But there is some distortion at a couple of places, simply because I accidentally overdrove the signal :) (Easily done while tweaking a reverb, with all the resonances going on...) Such clipping is not heard on the device itself, since iOS has some sort of magic compensation for that. But it shows up when recording over AirPlay.

@thepinkelefant No, unfortunately the AB control panel only support triggers/toggles. But you can connect a MIDI controller and tweak the parameters from there :)

@PaulB This reverb architecture has no pre-delay. But the SCALE parameter will give some similar adjustments.

  • @j_liljedahl hmm, I just listened again and didn't get the little static blips. I tried a couple browsers on my PC and sometimes heard them and sometimes didn't, so it must be a memory thing on my laptop or Flash issue or something, and nothing to do with the source recording. Sorry about that :)

  • +1 for a pre delay. Essential for me in a general purpose reverb. Want a ton of reverb on a vocal but don't want to wash out the intelligibility? Pre delay. Want a huge drum kit but don't want to lose the punch and articulation? Pre delay! Want that but crazier? 1/8 note pre delay!

  • Allright, I'm adding pre delay :)

  • +1 for a dev who listens.

  • I have to suggest Pitch-fixing. Maybe a beat synched gated delay. Flanger, chorus, and 1+ for what @TedBPhx said. We'd all like to be able to stack effects together as we see fit. Maybe you could include a effect linker so we could stack the phaser on the reverb on the doubler... Or a master single app that had all the effects inside that we could turn on as needed. New effects could go inside the master app as IAPs or whatever. That would make yours the go-to effects place for us, regardless of IOS7 or Audiobus updates.

  • You mean like the awesome Chainer VST ;-)

Something like that to stack up the fx in the AB fx slot would be super cool

  • MIDI learn support for hardware controllers? :)

  • @jesse_ohio: MIDI learn is already there :) See http://kymatica.com/uploads/Software/aufx_space_shot_small1.png

Regarding chaining effects.. Such an effect rack master app sounds nice, but I would need to create my own audiobus-like system, which is quite a bit beyond my intentions and time. I wish Audiobus had more than one effect slot. But at least AUFX can be used in all three slots, so if you want to process hardware input, you can chain 3 AUFX apps in audiobus and record in the last one.

  • Woot! Awesome!

And piping hardware input through 3 effects racks in AB is a great idea! It will be fun experimenting with the different sounds possible depending on what slot in the chain the effect is placed in.

  • Nice work!

  • Thanks for predelay!

  • Looking forward to it!

  • From the demos this looks to be a fantastic reverb...great quailty and control..we all need a good reverb....really looking forward to using this and seeing the other effects too...a feature I would like to see is a gate/limiter...for drums this an awsome effect...for example take a heavy reverb on the whole kit and it gets muddy real quick...but if you gate it at say 250ms it just sounds stunning..I'm suprised that other reverbs never throw this in..just take a listen to In The Air Tonight from Phil Collins as one example of this effect..anyway as it is it looks stunning..cant wait..

  • Lol, you are SO 80s! :)

  • Yeah, but I don't want to throw in too much in this reverb, since one of the points with these effect apps is they should be lightweight. The DSP in AUFX:Space is already using 15% cpu on my iPad mini, which is not much really but I want to keep room for other apps too :)

A separate AUFX gate/limiter/compressor app would make sense, though.

  • Does indeed, but still not reason enough to mention that mans name.

    Hmmmm,Doug...?

    Wah wah?
