Bias FX, ios 9.3.3 and IPad Mini - What's wrong

Hi all,
this issue can be an old one, but maybe you some info or experienced something like my issue
I bought last week a Line 6 Sonic Port VX, I bought Bias FX and Bias Amp and I run it on an IPad Mini with IOs 9.3.3.
After 2 or 3 minutes running Bias FX, I get noise, glitches...
it's impossible to play and I have no clue on where is the blocking point
Any one?
Cheers

  • which version of the iPad Mini ? - the first one is certainly underpowered
at least there should be no other apps running in the background
which also applies to not run both of them simultaneously

    cheers, Tom

  • Check your latency settings. See if switching of Ultra Low Latency in Bias FX and Latency to Normal in Bias Amp helps. Make sure all other apps are closed. Reboot your iPad, or do the power-switch / home button thing to clear out any zombie processes.

Bias Amp is pretty high CPU usage wise.

  • Rodras, did you find out how to solve the glitches? I've got the same problem with the same gears.

  • FYI - I had same issue with BIAS FX. Switched to YONAC Tonestack app. Sounds just as good, if not better, than BIAS but has WAY less cpu usage. Tonestack also way faster preset switching than BIAS FX.

  • I have trouble with Bias amp using audiobus and IAA. It never works properly and if you put an effect in the slot, that's it game over. On the other hand Biax fx works fine in either mode. The problem is I like Bias amp better. Also you can't seem to go back in audiobus or IAA to Bias amp without it stopping and if you decide to change an amp, your doomed.

ehhh...........but you can export a nice tweaked amp from Bias Amp to Bias FX. That is a nice feature of the apps. Did you know that? So you can tweak your tone in Bias Amp in standalone mode, export to Bias FX and do your thing with Bias FX. It is not ideal if you want to use Bias Amp all the way, but at least you can use Bias Amp as a tone builder.

Yes I did know that but thanks anyway. The amp from Bias to Bias FX sounds, well, not as good as in standalone. Also it changes the UI of the amp to one of the Bias fx amps, very confusing. I will take another look though and make sure I am doing the right thing. Cheers.
