Is there an app that allows for Manually Stepping Through a Sequence
Hey guys. Question regarding an app that allows for stepping through individual notes on a sequencer manually.
Example. I want to set up a pad on my QuNeo to send a note to some app. That same note should step through individual notes in a sequence each time it is pressed. Say I have the sequence going up the A# Major scale. Each time I press a certain key, it steps through until it reaches the end, then starts over.
Does ScaleGen have this feature to where it will step through the scale as notes are being pressed, say the same note over and over again but it plays through the scale?

@rad3d made a lemur template for this. https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/11709/lemur-template-chordmonkey
@syrupcore Thanks. Lemur might be a little pricey for me right now but I might look into that later.
reminds me of follow actions
This is ultimately what I would like to accomplish and could be really cool if we could do it on iOS. In Ableton Live you have Random and Scale midi options that you can place on a Simpler instrument. Madd Zach makes use of this and is able to play melodies while finger drumming, which I thought was pretty fantastic. It would be super cool to be able to load up beat machine or iMPC pro with drums and then take on of my pads on my QuNeo and send note data to Thor or whatever synth and play melodies on top of that.
Sugar bytes Thesys has 'manual step' mode. This steps through your seq/ arp per touch and transposes to the selected note.
@crifytosp Cool. I have been wanting that app. Might have to break down and buy it.
recomended. it has a ton of great features, is nice for live play.
So I just downloaded the trial version of Thesys on my Mac. If the iOS version is basically a one for one port of the Desktop version, then that seems like a lot of app for such a little task like stepping through a scale. Although after playing with it for a few minutes, Sugar Bytes will getting some of my money for that app.
Beware the teeny tiny-ness of thesys. It was ported direct from PC and a mouse interface. It is an amazing sequencer coupled with a very maddening interface. It's so easy to hit the tiny button that ruins the sequence next to the tiny button you are trying to push, and then you have to figure out how to get it back.
it has a zoom feature which helps with that
