Delay fx for old setup?

So, i decided to just stay with 7.1.2 OS on iPad 3, and i found out that i can't use Echo Pad in Audiobus no more; while i wrote about that to HoldernessMedia, i'm also tempted to try smth another as delay effect app too. I just tested Filtatron as fx and it works as delay + filter, but that's pretty basic. I tried my fav Jasuto as effect too, but it has more latency than i thought in that effect mode if i use 44.1 hz audio mode etc. So, i took a look at some apps on audiobus compatible lists, and got interested in a few: R0verb, Kuvert and Tap Delay (+ not very pricey). All three seem to still support ios7, though idk how heavy they are on cpu; How would you compare them? I mostly aimed at recording stuff through delay with a tweak into NanoStudio samples, or just play it like Orphion + Delay. Echo Pad is cool with its psychedelia stuff, but not sure i will get it back to work on this setup.

  • The current version of AUFX:Dub requires iOS v8 or higher, but you could purchase it on your desktop then download the last version that works on your hardware. It's running on my iPad 2 with 7.1.2 fine.

  • Dahlia delay might be worth a look too.

  • Sunvox?

  • Thanks for suggestions!

Thanks for notice; it surely impresses with features

Dahlia delay might be worth a look too.

I was sceptical when i saw screenshots, but developer's page shows some love/reason putted, hmm

    Sunvox

I have it, but i'm not very friendly with it and its GUI

    Dedalus

Oh, from Moebius Lab devs? Well, if they keep older version of app on server, otherwise it just 'll go to my wishlist for future

  • Ok, for now, i ended up with Vandelay, for some reason. Like it so far, but lack of manual makes understanding a bit worse. Tested is with Orphion and DXi (looks like dxi is more resource heavy app, heh).

    Gonna watch this video https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/6205/video-for-vandelay-multiband-echo-demo-and-tutorial/p1

I might get Dahlia later for more pure/classic effect, though aufx:dub is also tempting. Oh, GAS syndrome, kind of.

  • Magellan in fx slot

  • Would Frekvens work? Seems like a simple interface, works good on my iPad 4 with 8.4.1.

  • Yeah, do the AUFX Dub desktop purchase thing mentioned earlier
