Infinite Looper Midi & Gadget advice needed
I have iL set up to send gadget chords via channel 1 to track 1 in gadget but I also want to send note data to track 2 in Gadget for the bass. I want to do this in one pass in realtime. While listening to gladstones Ruthann track. So far it worked but the bass track receives the whole chords. Need ideas guys... Thnks!

Only thing I can think of off-hand is MidiFlow. (Not tested...)
Will only work if your bass notes don't overlap with the rest of the chords.
Oh wait. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you want to do. I was assuming you meant you wanted to send chords and notes from the same track in IL, but only sending the bass note to a different channel.
If what you really mean is you just want to send a chord track and a bass track separately into separate Gadget tracks, then you just have to set a separate MIDI channel in each in IL (long press the Gadget midi destination to change the channel). Then in Gadget, enable Advanced MIDI, and set each track to listen to the channel that you want.
P.S. Don't set Gadget up as an IAA in IL. Run it standalone (set background audio on), or in AudioBus or AUM.
Nice idea but it's not possible. You need another one app that listens to a midi note from InfLooper ,make a chord and route it to gadget.
Sorry for not proposing a specific app ,but I am sure others will propose something useful
Should be do-able, if I'm understanding you right.
In Gadget, turn on Advanced MIDI routing (gear icon, upper right) -- this will allow it to accept MIDI on multiple channels, and I think that the first gadget is channel 1, second is 2, and so on.
Then in Infinite Looper, turn on external MIDI on the tracks you want to send to Gadget -- toggle on Gadget, and then do a long-press on Gadget to open up the MIDI channel selector. You should be able to select the appropriate MIDI channel, and then wham, bam, thank you Korg, you're going. Chords, notes, whatever you've got going in Infinite Looper, should be sent to Gadget. Let me know if you run into trouble, but AFAIK, it should be cool!
Thanks guys. Inf looper I love because it allows to me to make nice chords up to 10 but there is no way to select two tracks to play at once it's either one track or the other.
Unless I first record the bass track separately in inf looper but that's not what I was trying to do. I want to play in realtime and send out chord data and bass note data to separate midi tracks in gadget.
So I tried it with Guitarism and it worked, although with limited chords or basic chords I should say.
I wonder if it's possible to do with Chord poly pad.
Forgot to mention I'm doing all this on the iPhone.
The solution using MidiFlow will work if you have enough separation between the bass notes and the rest of the chords.
Thanks! But here's the problem:
In inf looper I'm able to only select one track at a time. So I can't have track two sending out unless I have a loop in it going. Currently I don't have any loops going at all. Gadget is only receiving my chord data in realtime as gadget plays. I can with no problems record into gadget on various tracks simulteniously but I wish there was a way to only send the bass note out. Like having a way to have in inf looper the ability to send out the bass note separately from the chord notes on separate midi channels while playing the chords. This is currently possible with the Guitarism app but only lets me play 6 different chords. I like inf loopers chords and the ability to edit them fast is cool!
Ahh -- ok, understood. Bass notes from a chord to one MIDI destination, and the rest of the chord to another. There's not a good way to do that currently, but I'll think about it.
My guitar app (Live Guitar) can send out notes from each string on different MIDI channels; this is mostly for being able to transcribe guitar parts, but there might be some sort of tricks that can get played....
ChordPoly or Navischord would work.
