No music for a whole week

Off fishing / camping for a whole week from tomorrow.

We have decided to leave the iPad, tablet, vita, iPod, radio, portable speaker at home.

We will have one basic phone for emergency calls and a pack of cards and each other's company.

The only music will be the sound of nature.

I hope to be relaxed enough to actually make some music when I return :)

Liked your last tune by the way. Really must get some music done with you when I'm back and refreshed - my stuff of late has been shite lol

Clear your head of buzzing, get fresh country air in your lungs, fish slime from 20lb monsters on your hands, and get fresh inspiration :)

Cheers on the tune, it was Gladstone and Madrid that got me using Gadget again.... :)

I'm stuck at the moment. Can make lots of little parts of tunes, but nothing is gelling together, so will have to grab one of your tunes to mess with hehe

  • And one more thing.....

Do not, at any point, think that you can turn your fishing rod into a makeshift harp simply by bending it and threading the line through the eyes in a creative fashion :p

if you throw a hand whisk in the bag, it can be used quite effectively for brush type drum sounds when combined with said pans :)

Enjoy! Remember, no Le Creuset pans! Old Army Mess tins however make a tidy trash cymbal! ;)

We did the same, about a month ago, spending time in the mountains of Madeira. The attached shot is about 3000ft up, in a sub-tropical garden formerly owned by the Blandy family. Super tranquil.

You used technology though to take this picture :( you should have used crayons/pencils and paper instead....

You bet it did! I love nature's wonders, but unlike Mr Fruitbat, I go equipped with as much technology as I can, just this side of Tony Stark. ;)

  • It made overal refreshment, before that we have been 3day on festival: sigur ros, prodigy...

  • Back early, neighbours from hell kicking off. So much for relaxing :/
