  • You should be able to download in Safari. Open In box should appear (after a while) and then can Open in apps that support rar zip files. I don't think Audioshare supports rar but should be able to open the uncompressed WAV files in to audioshare once you uncompress rar file in another utility app like izip free or similar

  • Demo here if you want to decide if is your cup of tea before download:

  • Sweet! Thanks!

So I unzipped the file, now.............Forgive me being a complete fooking idiot. What do I do with the files/sounds? Open them in a sample synth player thingy on my ipad? Or.........???

    I'z confuzed?

I would store in Audioshare and then copy or open in from there to whatever app you want

  • @RedSkyLullaby thank you for the loops.

The GoodReader app can uncompress rar files and can then zip them so you can transfer them to AudioShare all together and unzip them in AudioShare for use in your loop work flows or if you need to convert them to 16 bit or other formats due to the requirements of some apps.

  • @RedSkyLullaby some samples are really nice ! Thanks !

Thanks I did not try downloading it myself so that's useful to know

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks RSL. Well crafted sounds. I'm a big fan of the Nave patches you released a while ago. Good stuff!

  • Music concrete, my thanks RSL.

  • Thanks for these!

A note: That weird little free Recorder (the one with the cassette graphic) by TapMedia can also unzip rar files. They can then be shared to AudioShare.

iVCS3, sparkle, dedalus, stria, idensity, crystalline, samvada, animoog, photophore, apefilter, samplr, auria pro & plug ins, borderlands granular, Alti Space, aufx dub, aufx space, audiostretch, gadget, sidtracker, elastic drums and the mighty Audioshare for adding effects and edits/fades

Big huge thank you for this! I just tried it on this pack and it worked great.

@RedSkyLullaby - thanks, very nice quality. Because AudioShare is such an important tool for most of us, is there way you could just make your samples a zip file? Be a lot easier for folks that wanna use your sounds. Not complaining, just curious.

Usually it pops up with an open in box that allows you choose app to send it to. Did you download from 99 sounds or my dropbox link (if the latter it may have saved to your dropbox if you have that installed?)

  • I tried both, no joy but my storage has dropped a lot, but can't find it anywhere

  • Well I am an idiot, I tried again, still nothing and now my storage is down to 1gb, awesome.

It should have given pop up box like attached pic that gives open in options. If that did not happen I'm not sure. I'm not sure where ipad stores the data until it is saved into a specific app. Check in your dropbox app if you have installed. Could try turning ipad fully off then back on a see if that perhaps clears if it is in some kind temp storage in ios somewhere

Have you tried going setting>storage>manage storage and see which app is however many gb you lost bigger than you would expect in terms of space it is taking. If data is not inside an app then not sure where it would have gone and Apple online chat might be your best option. Others have been able to download ok so not sure what the issue is. Hope you get it sorted.

If you used Safari or Apollo, go to Downloads then Other and you should find it there.

@jbvdb I just did an experiment to see if could figure it out
    1) I hit download on 99sounds link but did not "open in" just closed Safari instead
    2) storage was reduced by the file size even though I did not put that data into any app using open in
    3) i turned ipad fully off then on again and lost storage was restored
