The best ios DAW for Midi tweaking?

Dear guys,

Im new to the IOS music production and before that I used FL Studio desktop.
Now thinking to get a iOS DAW and after learning I just have one question.

Which DAW allow to edit the external synth app after recording MIDI and Audio?
I have test with FL mobile and I record synth with IAA but it only recorded audio file and I cant edit anything after recording.

I mean, at desktop FL studio, i can tweak any parameters from VSTi such as Massive, Sylent...etc...
Even after recording MIDI notes, I can change filters, Envlop... I can change even another synth sound...

So which DAW in IOS allow me to do it?
Im learning forward to Auria Pro vs Cubasis...
My main music is Melodic Dubstep/ Trance...

Pls suggest me...Thanks

I'm an FL Studio old-timer but I haven't found anything quite the same on iOS. Gadget comes close (sort of) but you can't record vocals in it. There's nothing to match the elegance of FL Studio's pattern/playlist-based composition with everything being right there and tweakable. Auria and Cubasis are more linear DAWs. FL Mobile 3 will be a complete rewrite and is available as a plug-in in desktop FL as a beta right now. I haven't tried it yet (haven't installed FLv12 on my computer).

  • If you want ease-of-use, but with many limitations and a walled garden, then Gadget has the best workflow (by far).

Garageband is also easy to use, and unlike Gadget will also allow you to work with vocals and recorded sounds.

Cubasis is more complex, but not terribly difficult to use, and is open and can use Audiobus, IAA, and AU. It has some limitations, some frustrations, but overall is decent mobile DAW.

Auria Pro is definitely the most complex and powerful iOS DAW, has a bit of a learning curve, and and also the odd frustration, but offers the most features and is a fully-fledged MIDI and audio workhorse.

There really is no one-size fits-all answer, because all of these options are acceptable, it just depends on your individual preferences. Gadget is the most popular platform because it's easy and fun to work in, but both Cubasis and Auria have their followers. Personally I use all of them, including Garageband, but I use Auria the most and Cubasis the least - YMMV.
