APPS: NO new ones or AUDIOBUS lately?

I think this is one of the longest droughts to date for new apps.

Besides PHENOM, are you aware of any new(or LINK updates) due to hit?

I am aware of Group the Loop (LINK) and Genome (LINK) are in the works.

I am not holding my breath for FL, NANO, or the CAUSTIC updates either at this point.

What do you know friends?

Dagger?

Sugar Bytes synth?

I AM SUFFERING FROM POST ACUTE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS FROM NO NEW APP FIX!! aaargggg

Comments

  • ON AUDIOBUS LATELY :)

  • Many varieties of this thread, all indicative of market-induced pathologies. We are drowning in muck.

  • Band Creator just updated with Audiobus remote! :) Not new, but a new feature..

  • I am as guilty as anyone, 90% of the thrill is in the expectation, in that click of BUY and the fateful first download. Where is U. G. Krishnamurthi to yell at us for our idiocy, what, dead? Oh.

    You are right.

I am like the boy who cried wolf in reverse.

I keep buying apps hoping it may actually serve a purpose.

Even though I really only use the same apps I bought within a 3 month window many years ago (seems like it anyway)

I think your comment is significant for another point all together.

AUDIOBUS REMOTE and more so LINK have helped to thin the herd or perhaps "dissuade" cheezy developers looking to make a couple quick bucks. Instead now, successful apps require a greater degree of developer dedication and corresponding man hours. Which will in turn hopefully correct the markets in favor of more developer profits. All of this just takes time when talking market dynamics of an emerging technology or niche market.

Frankly, MODEL 15 has made my life ALOT easier in regard to app use.

    ANIMOOG, MODEL 15, PATTERNING.

    Everyday.

4th app varies depending on mood or project or even interchanged in a song.

You have a really good point.

Because of course, that is what she said.

    Oh yes!

  • Gentlemen, you seems to forgot that it's more or less holidays for everyone...Even for developers... :)
Personally, I'm really working hard with these beautiful toys.
Not looking for anything else but connecting everything, bug tracking, and let's dare to say it...a bit of music ? :)

  • I would of thought that FL Studio will be out soon. The Desktop v12.3 is released now, & I cannot mention more than that. :)

That's my set up too. And iSem. :)

  • You could go back to your computer. signed up for the $10/month rent-to-own deal for Serum (synthesizer) on that Splice site, it's pretty wicked (though I guess maybe Serum isn't that new, but it's new to me...).

  • I find that when there is a lull in app releases I get to know the multitude of previously purchased apps I already have!

That's a blasphemous suggestion and I hope to god Dr. AUM doesn't see it and withdraw his presence from us, his staggering, sectored progeny.

  • I just got into REactable when it got LINK

It took a minute but it is cool. Espec for phone play

How are sales the last year for new apps? Is there a large market out there screaming for new stuff and willing to pay for it? Has the market just gotten saturated? There’s really little financial incentive for developers to update apps. Most have not been updated in a long time, or just minimal maintenance, yet what they can already do is actually pretty overwhelming.

Maybe more people have settled in and just want to make music. If a developer can come out with something new and unique that captures the imagination, it’ll likely draw some interest, even if it doesn’t have every buzz feature in the list. I’ve reached a point where I really don’t need yet another version of synth or drum machine to add to the heap just because it has Audiobus Remote and Link.
