Bumping this because I'm currently giving it a test and the sample really opens up an already versatile app.
OH man, automated loop length on iOS, yum!
Looks fantastic
Not to take away from the marvel that is Elastic Drums in any way but you might be happy to know that Nanostudio has had this since v1.1 or so. No visual though.
wow didn't know that, does it snap to any intervals?
Does it actually sample?
There's slots in the sample file that are filled in by recordings made in-app of stuff you do with your tracks...using the different record options: manual record, play record, and single channels...that's what I've found so far...
Hi altogether, thanks a lot for all the interest
I got lots of emails already, from people who want to help with testing.

You can record your pattern to audio, but I guess you mean, if it's possible to record via the device microphone or input? No, that's not possible yet, but it would make a lot of fun and sense, that's right. I think it will definitely come, but I don't know yet, if it will be in the very first release with the sampler already
@magnum38 I've been beta testing and have yet to crash your program. I really like the results I'm getting from the sampler function. Reminds me of what i used to try to get Reaktor to do, but with touch. I know you have already probably gotten this request, and maybe it already exists, but would it be difficult to add mute groups? Oh and parameter locks Thanx anyways for a great program.
Quick question: If I accept, do I lose the presets that I have on the already-installed ED?
@ ExAsperis99
that might be the case. So better backup them.
a) either via iTunes - you can see your presets there in the documents folder
b) or send them via email to yourself
Excellent! This addition to the app sounds really exciting.
Thanks Oliver. I'm a sampler fanatic. I love hardware samplers and I don't see much for samling in iOS. Of course I wouldn't expect you to make a full fledge sampler like the rackmount units out there. But a phrase sampler with envelopes and filters (similar to MPC style drum sampling) would go so well with the existing drum synthesis in Elastic Drums. Definitely looking forward to how the sampling in this app evolves and I'd love to beta test what you're working on.
I eagerly await the public release
Nope. Old school.
that's cool, although snapping is such a nice live performance feature on loops, I'm not aware of any iOS app that does it though
I was just going to hit the buy button, but noticed that it seems like i cant put it on 32 step mode. Is it so or wasnt i just able to find anywhere whether or not its possible to double the step amount? 16 steps only would be a total dealbreaker for me
I must be doing something wrong. I'm on Test Flight, and I've updated, but I don't see the sampler as in the example above. In the lower-right corner is the regular Sequencer Settings. Should I delete and reinstall?
Even with sampler selected in the lower left corner?
Maybe you have to also tap sample on the right after? (Next to solo)
MY DAD: God dammit, my iPhone is broken! No sound?
ME: Dad, is the little switch on the side clicked? Do you see red?
DAD: Oh. OK. And by the way, you'll find the sampler under the Synth list on the left of the Elastic Drums beta.
ME: Thanks, Dad. DOH!
Your Dad sounds like a great guy!
UPDATE:
Mind blown. Oh, my days.
THIS!
^ THAT !
This!, That! should be in there with the sampler update, if that was the question
yes, thank you!!!
Curious
Is this well on its way or still a while to wait?
I've not been on it extensively yet, but seems pretty stable so far last iteration.
Everything works fine for me so far on it.
