Studiomux & Cubase

edited August 2016 in General App Discussion

Hello all,
Please mention if anyone is using Studiomux & Cubase…with good success.

I'm at my wits end trying to get Studiomux to work properly inside Nuendo 5.5. (ie; Cubase being similar)

I have followed the manuals instructions and I do see Studiomux & iPad apps inside Nuendo/Cubase (VST) HOWEVER,

I'm only able to hear for example …the kik drum from my Patterning APP. ???
I cannot hear my Moog model 15 at all for example.

I keep trying to look for settings inside Patterning, Nuendo OR the Studiomux routing to fix what seems to be a routing issue but having no luck.

Could be I'm missing something simple but damn it's been frustrating getting to function.
Thanks for any advise.

No problems here. To be sure just tested again. Setup: Cubase 8.5.20, studiomux generator loaded as Rack Instrument. Studiomux started on Mac. iPad Pro 12" Studiomux with Model 15 loaded to slot I. Connected through Lightning with the Mac. I can play Model 15 also through external keyboard using a Cubase Midi Track. Works just right out of the box. Nothin great to configure.
About Pattering the same. And you hear only the kick, because you have chosen only Track 1. When you add Track 2, you will also here the snare, a.s.o.
Besides there are several other ways to connect, from both sides.

  • Similarly frustrated with Studiomux (audio-wise) and FL Studio, I just gave up on it. Constantly crashing, I was on edge with paranoid tension while trying to get anything recorded. Midi works good though but I dunno, is it Windows, is iTunes secretly sabotaging the process, whatever....

    I'm on Nuendo 5.5.
Your going lightning > usb in I suppose.

So to hear the "whole kit" in Patterning, you have to add several more audio tracks or VST tracks within the DAW ?

Not sure why Moog isn't getting in there yet.
I'll have to try some more efforts later in the studio.

  • Both, Studiomus and DAW. But using AUM saves slots. Than you just need to open one instance in the DAW.

    Great to know that.
I was considering Cubasis to have audio wave options to & from DAW. Trying to keep the apps to a minimum.
I do like the feel of AUM though.

  • Have many of of you Cubase users been using Studiomux by setting up aggregate devices in "audio-midi" and then choosing it in Cubase's devise setup. ...So you can monitor your audio device/card etc along with Studiomux ?

Wondering how it's working for you.

  • @chet.d Last I had time to for it, Studiomux was working well as an aggregate device. That was with ios 9.3.2 and osx 10.11.5.
