Gadget Glitch
HiOSers-
I have not used Gadget much recently, but have played a few files in the past week after the last update, I have noticed that when a file is playing, Gadget will drop the first note of every new scene. It happens almost every time, and bar/scene length does not make any difference. Only the very first note of each scene gets dropped (not played). Anybody else have this happen? iOS 9.3.3 on 128G Air2. Thx!

That's strange. Can't say I've run across it, but my Gadget experience is limited.
Latency settings? (Probably not a factor)
Does this happen with every kind of gadget, or just one or some?
Does this happen with every gadget in a project?
If you create a new project, set quantization to lowest option, and you manually place notes at the beginning of each beat in a two bar pattern, does it still drop the first beat in the scene?
Reread your post. I'm wondering if this has something (strange) to do with older files.
If you create a new file and work with it, does this happen to it as well?
I've had problems with older files after updating before.
I can't reproduce that (Gadget 2.5.3). Also tested with songs from a year ago.
Does it play the first note if you turn loop on and let it run for another cycle?
I assume you do see the notes in the grid?
Haven't changed them recently, all other apps seem to be running fine.
London drums seem to plow on through np, but all other keyboard melody & chords Gadgets drop out, though it's possible Chicago arps survive too.
It does not happen after the first cycle when loop is enabled. Doesn't seem to happen at all when working in edit view or playing an individual scene looped, only when playing through a song or consecutive scenes.
Haven't created anything new yet, but that may require a polar shift atm I'm wrapped up in other projects which don't involve Gadget. Maybe best to ignore this for a bit and hope it goes away...thanks for the replies.
Wait... I got one old song with this glitch. Busy London drum pattern.
Edit: Okay, this was introduced with version 2.5.3. My old ipad still had the previous version of Gadget. Played the old song without the first note glitch. Updated Gadget and now it does have the glitch.
I have this as well. First note almost always gets lost. Super annoying and obviously renders gadget unusable.
Going to try to reinstall gadget and whatnot. Anyone had any success with fixing this?
iPad Pro 12.9 128gb
Are you in this thread?
Unless you don't have any user samples imported I wouldn't reinstall. I'm afraid it won't help. Glitch is on my iPhone and 2 iPads. I think it's a bug in 2.5.3.
Do you hear it in new songs too?
You can contact their app development team.
I heard it in new songs as well.
Screwed up when reinstalling, lost all my projects (unless they are stored in the cloud?) and samples.. But now it suddenly works again... What the hell is this? Tried making two new songs with arpeggios and lots of notes.. All seems fine now. Aside from me losing everytshing I guess..
Going to check the posts on the korg forum.
No problem on my side with my dozens of old and new tracks on any version of Gadget... except that I'd now like to change all my old basslines using Madrid ;-)
(on ipad air 2 128go)
Update 2.5.4 fixed it for me.
But I've been having a problem inside GadgetCloud (also in 2.5.3) were my own uploads don't appear. Logged in/out multiple times.
My old (full) SoundCloud account does show its uploads when I log in. So that's weird.
I hoped an update would fix it.
Is there a way to flush the GadgetCloud cache?
Try opening, then saving, the projects after having flagged them for the cloud? This seems to do it for me when a project isn't syncing to my iPhone.
I also read of someone who didn't have cellular data enabled for Gadget, so projects didn't show up on an iPhone until he connected to WiFi.
@wim
I think you're referring to the iCloud sync function, I have no problems there
It's the GadgetCloud (Soundcloud) function I was talking about
Recent update fixed my note drop problem, yay. Sorry can't help with the CloudyGadget thingy, never used it afaik.
Gadget 2.5.5 is out.
No other info besides: "Bugfixes and improvements"
Didn't solve the problem I'm having with GadgetCloud/Soundcloud
