Video..SilQ 32 Band Stereo UPDATE Demo Now With Draw Mode Demo for iPad

So SilQ just got an update, now you can draw in you EQ curves before fine adjustment, very nice.

And as a big thank you to all my Patrons I am giving you the chance to win one of three codes for SilQ over at my Patreon page.

  • Nice! Thanks for a great look at this update.

  • Thanks Toz, I do think the draw function is very useful

  • The draw function is very innovative and makes great use of a touch interface! While watching this, I was wishing for a overlay display which shows the incoming sound spectrum, which could help spot and isolate problem areas. Pretty cool as it is though.

  • Played around with this update last night. Not sure why, but simply being able to draw your EQ is much easier and quicker to get it right than only using the sliders. Or maybe there were other improvements in the EQ?

Don't know, but I'm diggin' this new draw feature fo' shizzle. Thanks for the demo video!

  • Thanks, Doug. I used SilQ this very morning (before I watched the Demo) on a rock track I was mixing and it made a huge difference to my final mix - especially being able to draw the curve. It seem much more intuitive somehow :)

  • @thesoundtestroom I got a lot out of this. Thanks so much.

    This.

  • Is that a smaller iPad pro in the video? I've got an iPad Air 2 and my SilQ drawing function behavior wasn't as smooth on mine as it appears in Doug's video. In my playing with it though, I just opened SilQ standalone, and used the folder on the right that allows you to open a track from iTunes. Maybe SilQ doesn't like commercial iTunes source so much?

It was completely functional, worked great, and was stable.... but the touch response with drawing on the EQ was laggy and more sluggish that what is displayed in Doug's use.

It could be I was drawing much faster than Doug was, or that maybe I had something open in the background that was hogging the cpu. Will mess around again using it with Aria (don't have Cubasis) and after a fresh restart to see if I can get the same smoothness Doug's getting.

  • @thesoundtestroom Thanks Doug! Informative and convincing / SilQ is a gem.

  • Yeah if someone could chime in (if they even use that term anymore) , I will happily buy this app if I can draw like Doug does!

    Air2
    Whatever the new update is

@sbcfx just tried again. Air 2, latest. Works great. I must've had a bunch of other stuff open in the background last night that I wasn't aware of. Works great and draws just as smooth as Doug's now... even if I'm drawing fast. Well worth it. Intuitive, easy, and quick to improve almost anything you throw at it.

  • @sbcfx Tested here including Air1 and smooth like butter on that.

  • Thx group.Im all in on this bad boy!
