Okay, so how many Audiobus presets do you have?
Since we're not tracking how many presets you make in Audiobus and I'm wondering how to improve preset management in Audiobus 3.... how many presets do you have?
Comments
26 Currently. I clear them out every few months as old ones become redundant due to updates, no longer performing that repertoire etc. Usually have about 5-6 active ones and 2-3 that I go back to semi-regularly. After that most go un-recalled.
1 per iPad, so 3, for a live config. These are my "superpatch".
Then it's one by track (so 3 x number of tracks produced)
So hopefully 45 soon...For the first album...Then 45 more for the second one...then...more...
The more I think about it, the more I would say folders could be great...But I'll have a use for it next year or so.
150+
3
About a dozen per iDevice. .
None at the moment. But I would have some if AB3 and the app devs come together and make presets just work. At the moment there are too many problems with lots of apps.
I think i have one or two, but i always forgot to use them because i dont usually do anything complex with it. Mostly just bias fx to blocs wave
None.
It's the only Audiobus feature I don't use.
Not to open a debate so early into this thread, but I want to add that personally after getting to grips with the best orders to boot things up in that I've never had any problems with Audiobus presets at all. Only part of iOS music making that's flawless and singularly the thing that makes it viable at all!
roughly around 30 last time i counted......
I don't use presets either as I'm mostly using AB (when needed) to record sound from one app to another.
For pure Audio-Recordings AB is cool but with IAA-Instruments I prefer to use 'freeze' in Cubasis...
That's the problem though. Not that presets don't work from the AB point of view, that there are so many apps that have to be opened in a certain order or they don't work. Or that many apps don't have state saving. Or that many apps revert to different presets when launched.
Ps. I only mentioned it to say that yes I would like to use many presets and that presets will be important to me if they work in a way that is just click and play.
About 150 across three devices.
76 - I save a setup when I come up with a good combination of instruments/sounds/ideas, but more often than not I'm on to something else next time 'round, so a lot of my presets probably will die a dusty death of neglect or forgotten raison d'etre.
lol, @funjunkie27
we really seam to work the same way
50+ i guess. Will have to check.
zero
Haven't used that feature. I might in the future, and I could see wanting to be able to organize presets. Unfortunately, many iOS apps come up short with basic file management.
20
presets?
heh, probably a few but they never are accessed beyond the hour i made them.
Largely because I find iOS setups so flaky in general that I tend to record audio pretty early in the process. So many times I set things up even in something like Cubasis and I just get error error, reboot ipad etc, error error, oh my train stop arrived, never-mind etc.
None
I don't use them
Should i be?
A metric you know what. I live in fear of not being able to find that lovely sound again and fiddle endlessly. I LOVE the preset option. Especially as a place to go to when I'm wondering 'what next?'....scroll down and know that I'm probably going to revisit something interesting right away...
100+ but I haven't been using them as much lately because it's sort of a shit show in there.
As I use Audiobus primarily as a bridge between apps and FX into Auria, I don't use presets at all. I did have a few years back, but I'm using the app in a different way now.
