Ok, there's a blank screen. Too much room for thought about what you're playing around with. Lol
Yeah...I'm trying to figure out what went wrong. I tried to paste the URL in and saw that Vanilla was trying to embed the video, but nothing showed up. I'll try again after some sleep, which is probably the real problem here!
Better fix it before PaulB wakes up. Lol.
If its a YouTube link; check the front of the links where http:// would be, lately YT has been dropping them for some reason and its messing everyone up, just add it to it
So not to show off my super creeper skills..... But (I'm going to anyways) I stalked you down on YouTube and see you liked a DD video "1 day ago" and can only assume this is the video your attempting to post. Btw it is a pretty good video demonstration of it!
Whether it is or not, the same still applies to the link, I'm not sure why YT decided to mess it up but yea when you copy the embed code it leaves of http: and starts the two links in the code with //....now that everyone thinks I'm a creeper
I was going to post on YT at first, but I had some problems with that in iMovie, so I uploaded it to Vimeo instead. Good job on the sleuthing anyway @JMSexton. I think the problem in the post attempt in the forum may have been due to the length of the URL, so here's another shot at it...

If that works, note that the video production skills need some tweaking....that was my first stab at it. The next time I may need a script, since it was a VoiceOver, and the screenshots were clipped for some reason, but I think you'll get the gist of it.
They keep messing with all the codes (YouTube & Vimeo) and now with Vimeo the "old embed code" won't even work anymore, YT old embed code still works but they've done something so now the code you copy is missing http:, so you have to add it. Some places you can just drop the Vimeo link in and it'll work and another solution would be for Audiobus team to include the prettyPhoto code into the Vanilla forum framework and then it'd allow for us to use the proper < iframe > code and would embed fine. Vanilla forum and Vimeo/YouTube are all partially to blame.
Just posted a little pop-up video tutorial...will make more as time permits:
