DDMF 6144 AU Warning
Hi folks. I have been using this very nice eq in Cubasis, it does not appear as an AU in Garageband, not for me at any rate. Anyway, when loading the unit there is a warning that flashes up, it flashes up for a instant. I was wondering what it means. I was running multiple instances of the eq plus Arturia AU, then Cubasis crashed out. I reset the ipad, all the usual stuff but no joy, so had to delete Cubasis and the project I had been working on for a week. Luckily I had no other projects running.
Here is what I mean it's about 3.28 mins into Dougs video review.

I see this "warning" with many AU effects, I believe it's saying something to the effect that the plugin failed to load, then probably Cubasis does another attempt and loads it. It's probably some AU handling code that needs to be optimized and I would hope for improvements in this area in Cubasis 2.0
I'm not a fan of projects autoloading on iOS for this very reason...one bad project can have serious implications.
Unless something has changed recently, I believe Garageband only supports AU instruments.
Thanks for that reply, glad it's just not me. Are we saying that AU is not stable enough for Cubasis or the other way round?
Thanks for that too, wondered why.
What does this mean exactly? anything else used as an AU inside AUM or Cubasis is an FX? like even a synth? I just don't get all this magic behind the code/machine. I've also been into ios music for 5+ years, and music in general for waay longer than that, and I still don't get everything about the magic behind midi.
It just means that Garageband currently only supports "Instrument" AU's (like a synth or drum machine) and not an "Effect" AU (like a reverb or delay).
