Cubasis midi to audio track? SOLVED
I'm not exactly sure how I wrote this midi into Cubasis. Was working with Ruismaker and just hating trying to write a drum part with the black keys of the Cubasis keyboard. So I loaded up the Silent Kit In patterning. I immediately came up with a good pattern. And then on the Ruismaker midi track I hit record and — wow, the patterning part was there. Now, before I close any apps, I want to make sure that I have an audio recording of that midi part. And I'm not sure how to make that happen.

Do I need to load Cubasis in the instruments of Audiobus and the also in the output? Because Ruismaker won't work of course in Audiobus.
Here's what I'm looking at:
Yes, Cubasis input and output in Audiobus. Solo the midi track you want bounced to audio. This image comes after recording, when the rendered audio track was soloed.
If you already have the midi-notes on a ruismaker track in Cubasis it's enough to 'freeze' the track and copy the audio to another track or to the mediabay. No need to mess around with audiobus.
What @Samu said or solo the track you want as audio and do a mixdown. You can also mix down several tracks to separate audio files at once
Very helpful. Thanks. It doesn't actually work every time with AB!
Track-Freezing and AudioBus doesn't really work since AudioBus is for audio only.
I've been experimenting a bit with manually routing midi but midi & audio tracks can't be mixed.
(Meaning if I have AB-Input on a track there is no way to add midi-events to it which would make it possible to 'send midi' and freeze the incoming audio on the same track).
So the only AB solution here is to have one midi-track and one audio-track and record in real-time.
When ever there is the option to use IAA-Instrument I use it without AB because it makes it possible to 'enter-midi notes'', 'freeze' and copy the audio to another track, unfreeze and continue to edit the midi. This is also a pretty handy work-a-round if more instances of an IAA-Instrument are needed.
We'll have to see what Cubasis 2.0 brings to the table once it's released.
I'm hoping more options for the grid(1/8t, 1/16t etc) and also Automatic Plug-In Delay compensation when freezing tracks.
