Cubasis- import file question.
Hi- I am thinking of buying Cubasis simply for arranging the gigantic pile of flattened sounds that I have made in Blocswave then placed in some order in Audioshare- into an actual song.
My question is 1) Can you actually export from Audioshare into Cubasis (I can see no mention of Audioshare on the Appstore details- and little on Google) and 2) If you can- how are imported samples/wavs arranged/stored in Cubasis- is it alphabetically/ by files folders/ chronological/date imported/ all- none- or what?
Cheers

You can export from AS to Cubasis easily. It's simply an 'Open in' option from AS
Sadly, there aren't folders though i believe they've said they're working on that. For now, all your audio is stored in the Media bay under audio->my audio where it's sorted alphabetically
Great- thanks very much for that- exactly what I wanted to know
You can also access the files from AudioShare using the Import>iCloud in the Cubasis MediaBay.
Just selection AudioShare as 'location'
If you need to transfer a folder of files, just zip it in AudioShare. Cubasis will unzip it on import...
OK thanks- I think I'll be going for the old fashioned one though- I don't have any relationship with iCloud as yet
Zip a folder in Audioshare? I feel my naivety slowly creeping to the surface Is this the Make Zip Archive option?
Would be pretty if there were folders. Small administrative matters are growing more significant for all apps as we continue our file bloat...
Yepp
iCloudDrive is NOT the same as iCloud, I know it's confusing...
iCloudDrive should really be renamed to allways be called 'Document Picker' for the sake of clarity since it can access both local and remote files...
Indeed
Even the great Audioshare has some minor workflow issues that becomes increasingly annoying over time

Such as?(Constructive critisism is always welcomed as it will help the developers improve their apps).
I've 'complemented' AudioShare with iFiles 2 (And prior to that FileHub). FileBrowser is also a viable option.
As long as the 'file manager' supports iOS-Fileprovider extension ot 'Open In...' accessing the files will be the same wether it's from AudioShare or the 'Other' apps.
Touch-based file-management is a tricky thing to do with all the different guestures such as long-taps, semi-long taps, tap'n'holds, pinch guestures, sipe'n'drag and so on.
If there is one thing I would like to 'disable' in AudioShare it's the creation of folders in the trashcan and get back the 'delete NOW' behaviour...
My pet peeve with it is actually concerning deleting files. I'd really like an option in the settings to actually delete files, not move them to the trashcan. I don't accidentally delete files and even though it's a very minor issue it's the kind of thing that builds up over time. I have the exact same issue with Cubasis. I get why it's done this way but there really should be an option to instantly delete it instead
Another thing is when i have to empty the thrash, i check the box to select all and then there is a popup asking whether i want to select files, folders or both. If i check the select all box i want to select everything. Otherwise i'd have selected specific files or folders
I use iFiles 2 as well, it's really good:)
Then you should be 'happy' to know that the developer is planning to add basic audio-file editing to iFiles 2(trim, normalize, fade in/out etc.). iFiles 2 already has a built in audio-recorder (it saves *.aif for now).
At least he finally found the bug that caused problems with insanely long file listings on SMB-Servers.
It should be fixed in the next release.
I guess new features depend on how well the app does on the AppStore...
