Audible "Thump" when changing apps?
Hi, I finally got my little studio off the ground, I'm using Mackie monitors, iRig Pro Duo interface, Air 2, and all the standard music apps, it's so gratifying to be able to play.
My issue is that whenever changing apps or going to YouTube, there is a loud "Thump" coming through the monitors, and there is no audio from my apps for about 20 seconds, I don't have a way to mute the sound, and I don't want to have to manually turn down the monitors every 30 seconds....thoughts?? Thanks

Changing between any apps? Or just specific ones? The thump could come from some other app taking over the audio session.
Going to any other app, or watching a YouTube video....if I'm loading and using apps in AUM it doesn't happen.......
Sounds to me like it could be caused by a 'reset' of the Audio Device meaning when Core Audio 'inits' the devices for playback or recording and doesn't check if it's already in use...
