Best way to Link two iPads on the road...?
So while out and about I tried a personal hotspot on my iPhone hoping it would allow me to Link my two iPads... but as expected... it doesn't.
Well I am out of ideas...

I wonder if this could do it.. https://www.amazon.ca/HooToo-Wireless-Companion-6000mAh-External/dp/B00DTPYRTI/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1473200249&sr=8-8&keywords=Wifi+portable
Way outta my thing here...
HooToo TripMate Elite Wireless Travel Router, USB Port, 6000mAh External Battery
Works great, self powered, charges/powers the ipad, and can even let you transfer files to USB drives (even HD's).
[edit: I didn't check your link before sending. Yes, that could do it very nicely. It's basically the same as the unit I posted except that it doesn't have an integrated power supply. Instead you plug it into your phone charger to charge it.]
Check out the apollo app - wirelessly send midi...
Nice find. Particularly considering that it's not too far off the mark for 6000mAh bricks alone.
I make a Hotspot in the iPhone for this.
My mobile hotspot works fine for me too with Link.
yup, I've done a couple duo gigs like this, linking three iPads, with Link, etc. No train wrecks!
Huh... I guess all that remains is to update the phone from ios8 to ios9 and try again...
Thanks!
Whoot, ios9 was the trick! Now my old 4s is officially a Link hub. Thanks again!
Nice, to hear
