Got it, been waiting for a sale!
Lets hope it does what I want. Big props for including MIDI learn, can't wait to see how extensive the implementation is...
On sale again: $12,99 to $6,99
Cool, but no updates in almost 2 years?
So no ios8 then?!
v2 is imminent.

Good to know. Thanks!
Imminent may be a relative term.
There are active beta testers, myself included, so should not be too long.
How does it compared to the Promidi I think its the name. Can you do clips and stuff?
One update per 2y is not very ok for future even
I really like Genome. In many ways it is the best pattern/piano roll hybrid sequencer available on iOS.

Curious, will it be a free upgrade or will there be an upgrade path?

You could be right. The new version is a really really massive leap though. I get the impression (without speaking to him so take this with a grain of salt) that he started down the path of this massive rebuild and then was sorta trapped by it.

is there any public info on it? screenshots or demos? i saw one demo on YT that was very rough and didn't inspire a lot of confidence in the rebuild...
there were some videos on Palm Sounds not too long ago (3 or 4 of them). I didn't watch them but from the screencaps of the main interface it didn't look like much had changed from a workflow/UI perspective. All the buttons are the same, and I don't see anything new from the old UI other than a slicker looking screen. There may be more going on under the hood though. That would lead me to believe this is going to be a free update to the existing app, and not a new paid app.

^ Hmm, yeah. I saw the drum machine and filter one, the other looks like more of the same -- about the upcoming built-in synths rather than the actual updates to the sequencer.
