iSymphonic Aulos Sound Pack The BIG Soundtest for the iPad

Here is the first of a few videos that will demo some of the various IAP Packs for iSymphonic, if anyone would like to hear a particular pack demoed next just ask in the comments below. This first one is for the Aulo Pack.

Comments

  • Catnip for Johnny.

  • Oooo that's the pack I want!

  • Great - I thought some of the ensembles in particular sounded wonderful.

  • Not trying to thread jack, and while it's not as good as anything Doug has done (or will do) I have an Arpa sound pack demo on YouTube:

  • I think this will be my next iSymphonic treat also. Thank you, Doug.

  • Thanks, doug-

I finally picked this up on sale, and started buying packs immediately. Everything people say about the quality is completely true.

I'm running into storage issues, what with beathawk, imaschine, launchpad, auria, plus a few more.

I'm wondering what other apps/IAPs iSymphonic can replace, so I can delete other apps/soundpacks I previously used for orchestral sounds.

i have to say that i am working on paring down these apps.

for example, i no longer need a bunch of orchestral/choir soundfonts for bs-16i, which was my previous approach for orchestrating.

I'm still keeping the soundfonts loaded in Auria, though, I suppose I could dump them and redownload them later. The pianos are especially big, and I'm relying on Korg Module.

SampleTank seems like the next victim, but I feel like there is so much I am leaving behind.

Where else am I likely to find inferior orchestral sounds duplicated on my ipad that I coud delete?

  • @johnfromberkeley you need Big Boy kemosabe...

  • Storage is hard to manage now with the big app, I tend to delete the big stuff till .i need it again, so if I'm working in music say in Cubasis as soon as a big project is complete I'll upload the whole thing to Dropbox and then delete it. Best 7.99 a month for DropBox pro and 1 TB Of storage.

Also I do regularly go through the storage and delete apps because I'm not building my own presets or making my own samples so I don't need to keep an app on the iPad.

And finally I don't have the time to stay with one or two apps for long periods of time simply because of the nature of what I do.

Apps that never get deleted are the tools I use all the time, Cubasis, Audioshare, AUM, Dropbox, TestFlight.

Other apps that tend to stay on are the Korg ones, iElectric, SampleTank, because it's easier.

Then of course there are things like iSymphonic and all the other TestFlight apps, they have a shelf life of 60 days per build, so I'm working with iSymphonic again for a bit because it's just had a new build with a load of very cool stuff coming soon, buts its a good opportunity to demo some of the packs I havn't done yet.
