Above and beyond ....
Up there with guitarism,audioshare.ifretless
for dev luv.
I'd definitely prefer new apps then having to rely on IAP authorizing etc (will I be able to install and use echo pad 5-10 years from now and so on). Anyway, really nice update. This app (besides sounding good and all) is just so much fun to use, really cool interface.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Can you multi-tap to change stuff in the multi-tap delay? I'm having a blonde moment here! What does it do?
@Michael_R_Grant - No, not yet. In the next update (most likely) he will add settings for that. (Read over on Discchord)

I only used Echopad (oil can effect) on the drum track, but I dedicate this experimental piece to @HoldernessMedia for bringing us one of the best apps the effect slot has seen, and also for being MORE than responsive to feedback, not to mention giving us continued value for our dollars. That's sure to translate into consumer loyalty in a way that even the most justifiable IAPs never will... Can't wait to see what else you've got in store!
Sorry its taken awhile to respond.
Thanks for the great feedback everyone, I appreciate it.
@Michael_R_Grant - The link that @PaulB posted is a good explanation of multi-tap delays.
As @JMSexton linked to from the Discchord post, I'm planning to add expanded control for the multi-tap parameters in an update soon. Right now it is a fixed setting which sounds good at any delay time.
@eyeballjackson - That's awesome, thanks man! Cool picture too, I used to work with reptiles and was big into herpetoculture when I was a teenager. I never got to work with Axolotols though.![=) =)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)
Not sure if this is an Echo Pad issue or a MidiBridge one, but Echo Pad is not showing as Installed in the MidiBridge OMAC App Switcher list.
Update: also not showing as Installed in the Little MIDI Machine switch list, so it looks like an Echo Pad issue.
@dwarman - Looks like you're correct, I'll look into it and fix this in the next update, sorry about that!
thx, no worries, but the switching capability give me ideas!
Updated to 1.8.3

If you enjoy Echo Pad please don't forget to leave a rating/review, it helps a lot!
@holdernessmedia I recently tried to explain why developers might bump minimum iOS version requirements. Think it would behoove us all if a developer of apps pretty much universally loved explained the bump in their own words.
Good thought and good public relations in the proper (non-bullshit) sense.

No problem! In this particular case with Echo Pad it's dead simple, both Audiobus and IAA require iOS 7.0+, so that's the most obvious reason for dropping iOS 5/6.
Additionally, at this point there is only a very small fraction of users still on iOS 6 (less than 3%), and it can take a lot of extra development time (cost) in some cases to keep everything working properly between iOS 6 and 7. This inherently increases the chances for making mistakes during that process and introducing bugs, which of course means double the amount of bug testing required (time + cost), as well as purchasing/keeping more devices around to test on that are running multiple versions of iOS.
As a one man operation with 5 apps (and counting), all of these things have to be carefully considered as it all adds up, and eventually it simply doesn't make sense from a financial perspective.
Cheers, Christopher. +1 @ "and counting"!
Well done that man. Good simple (non bullshit) explanation.

"As a one man operation with 5 apps (and counting)" aha, counting eh? What's next @HoldernessMedia?

I've been working on multiple projects over the last year or so, not sure yet which one will be released next but I will probably release one more new effect app before the end of this year, and possibly iPhone versions of the current effects series.
I'm also doing some work for a few other people's apps, so it will all basically depend on how little sleep I'm willing to get.
Happy to pay again for iPhone versions, fwiw.
Regarding other apps... Haven't seen a granular synth EHX superego type app on iOS yet. Include a suite of effects for the virtual effects loop. Could be cool.
How the world changes. I bought my first professional quality tape recorder (Akai) in 1971. One of the major concerns was wow and flutter: to eliminate it. Always used the best quality tapes (BASF) to ensure minimum stretching and warping: all to eliminate wow and flutter.
And now, developers work long hours to simulate what we paid vast sums to eliminate.
The moral: think of what is undesirable in the acoustic world today and know your grandchildren could embrace it as a 'new' and 'exciting' effect.
If some of you youngsters find this hard to appreciate, think of what Hendrix did to the generation that listened to Pat Boone, or watch the scene from Back to the Future where McFly plays Chuck Berry's Johnny B Good.
This is not being negative, just saying times are a-changing, always.
ps I've bought all the Holderness apps and look forward to the next batch...
