  • I must use this app more. On my to do list :)

  • Thanks @Paul16 , what a pleasant surprise, this update coming soon?

  • He's had 2-3 previews lately. Must be close. Love this app :)

  • Is it just me or is this much more user friendly looking than the previous versions? Is this more of an overhaul than an update?

    You're thinking what I'm thinking....

  • I have fieldscaper (and never use it). This looks friendlier but what's the difference between the two apps?

  • It looks great!

    Well that looks different.
I like how soundscaper looks and sounds it just isn't enjoyable? working in it(for me). But that could be more of a menu system thing.
Hope this gets me more in to it cause I'd like to use it more.

  • I've got both Fieldscaper and Soundscaper and when I play around with them I get scared...
This new filter-thing demoed in the video will make things even more creepy :D

For those who haven't noticed, the dev added a new YouTube video for this latest version. Had to play with it first, get lost, then watch this video with my finder on the play/pause button to fully understand step-by-step.

Helped a lot. Really dig this app :)

  • a soundscaper day is always a good day!

  • excellent video^
Will give it a play later

I know, right? I was planning on getting a little work done this morning them going off on my motorcycle to make sue the alternator & battery are still doing their jobs, etc. was gonna ride all afternoon, find a nice place for a hammock, maybe record some field stuff while I'm out, etc.

Then the SoundScaper update dropped... Now it's after 1pm and I still haven't put this blasted iPad down. Gonna have to put this away and play with it more later. :)

Yes, I too have both, and am sure they're winderfully clever, just not intuitive. I still have very little idea of how to get the best from either app, so I just dabble.

Me too - but after watching the vid I realise I'm missing out on some pretty amazing features so I'm going to swot up on this one.

Brilliant app, and top dev - really appreciate the updates.

  • omfg never have i wandered into wtf territory so fast. i have no idea what's going on in this app. but that's a good thing!

You don't like this app?! I freakin' LOVE it, as well as his Fieldscaper app. Also have his AudioMastering app that I didn't get at all, until I took his advice and turned off the advanced display and started with the basic setup. After that it made perfect sense.

To each their own though. But, I think Soundscaper is definitely the kitten's meow for my weird aural bio-gear. :)

  • Just kidding, really, but I can make this kind of gloomy wash accidentally in 30 seconds in Poseidon if I'm not careful.
I'm more attracted to manipulating sound files in fieldscaper, although iDensity is more intuitive than that.

  • I have to admit I never took to Fieldscaper. The navigation took too many steps, I think. I'm a master of Soundscaper though; the best noise/ambience maker, if you know what you're doing or just hitting random.
