"Should be super nerdy" + my birthday
Tempting, but I fear it will be a hipster fest. Any assurances there, John?
Could be, but I am going to go for sure!
Lucky that you're local. Sounds fun and nerdy.
We expect a full report from the front soldier.
Happy birthday my fellow iOS musician/Libra!
Thanks, @TGiG !
I'm hoping @syrupcore is going to chime in on this festivus for the rest of us.
Please give Marcos a head massage and talk to him gently about a certain update. Love conquers all.
We are counting on you.
Is anyone else from SF Bay Area going?
Your Mission, should you choose to accept it John From Berkeley is to discern whether Marcos Alonso is using a version of Samplr that the rest of us do not have, and in addition to that if the version he is using has panning, sample editing from within a clip, or any other improvements for that matter. This message will self destruct after you read it.
Hmmm. Good point. I had not thought about peeping his screen.
Also, who knows what genius @alexandernaut has in store?
You and everyone else, seemingly.
no telling, but whomever it is that is holding Samplr back needs to let michael go solo and rise to his full potential
I'm surprised Apple lets the Samplr guy off their spaceship or whatever it is.
That's really what it's about. Marcos is uniquely talented, and the apple work ethic is pretty committed.
Blah, blah. It's about my needs, clearly.
The SF meetup festivus or the festivus of SF->PDX migration?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on either, but I was referring to the SF meetup festivus. Have you been to anything like it in Portland?
I don't really have anything against the great northward migration from cali but it is indeed totally fuxoring our house/rental pricing. People whose parents grew up here are being priced out and it's hard to see that in a positive light. Other than that, migration is migration is migration and migration is good thing for the world in my opinion. Been one my whole life more or less so that may skew my take.
We did do a mini PDX iOS music meet up a couple of years ago. It was good fun. I'd be up to do it again.
I'm not sure if the "dance party" bit it supposed to be ironic. I'm just not sure what to expect in general, even after watching their "teaser video."
That jives with everything I read about the PDX migration when I was considering moving there. I decided ahead of time that I was priced out.
Apple job is a job even if it is Apple job. Samplr is a work of passion, this is especially because it has such a cult following.
Did you ask Alexander what the exciting Fugue Machine 'future feature' he was developing was? Nearly a year since he teased us with that.
Hey, so what happened?
i think nothing
Did samplr have link?
!!!..........?
anyone check on John see if he's ok?
He posted a few days ago so I'm assuming everything is daijobu.

Most probably no beans have been spilled or tables turned. We already know that link update is on its way, one of these years.
