Storing apps and Reinstalling Old versions
Is it possible to reinstall old versions of app on non jailbreaked ios devices ? Do you use a software to make this happen? Which file do you extract to keep apps and store them on a computer?
Thks in advance for your tips

I don't do jailbreak stuff, but use ifunbox to transfer files easily. I think it can make a back up of a single app but I haven't used the feature. but now that I think about it can't you just backup the app with iTunes and install from that backup? It would be your whole iOS though I guess
If it's not installed and you have the older version of the .ipa file (all apps in your iTunes library are .ipa files), then yes - you can reinstall it. When you download an update in iTunes, the older version gets substituted with a newer version. You can copy the old one somewhere before downloading the update - that's what I usually do before downloading major updates. Had too many problems before so now I'm very cautious. Also, on a mac, you can get the older versions from Time Machine - it's such a life saver.
If it's already installed on your device, you can use iFunbox or a similar tool (I use iMazing) to create a backup of an installed app and restore it later if needed.
Thanks boys for your answers!
I use IOS 9.3.5 and the IPA
of Bias Fx v 1.3.8 I want to extract only appears on Ifunbox.
But I can't seem to store it on my PC.
The IPA of Bias FX doesn't appear inside ITunes.
Is it because this is recent purchase?
Isn't there any other way to grab that IPA outside Itunes ?
I've backed up my IPad to my PC but the IPa doesn't appear inside
the appfolder.
Any tips ?
Try:
1. Delete app from device
2. Connect to iTunes - don't sync apps
3. Run Backup - then Sync
4. Then re-install the app from your list of Apps on iTunes
This has worked for me - w/out need for previous ipa.
Obviously, if you have a bunch of presets/data from the app you need - be wary.
Well there has been an update today v 1.3.9 which I don't want to install. This is why I want to grab that Previous version of the IPA still installled inside my device!
@Johnba - I just tried, and save the IPA from iFunbox ( Windows Version 3) doesn't seem to work any more. It says All done, but there is no IPA file in the folder I gave it. My iPhone is 9.3.5.
Are you on a Windows PC, and what version iTunes?
I'm on Winows 7 with iTunes 12.2.2.25. I download all my purchases on the PC, and then I Update then in iTunes. The older versions are sent to the recycle bin. After I get the updates in iTunes, I move the ones in the recycle bin to an external hard drive.
If they are in iTunes, fine the folder in Windows ( mine is d:/iTudes. There should be a "Mobile Applications" folder where the IPA's are stored. iTunes has changed and I'm note sure that backing up the iDevice actually copies the Apps to iTunes any more.
well....sadly, since you didn't download it on your pc there isn't a proper way to extract the Ipa anymore.
when apple introduced app Thinning they pretty much broke backing up Ipa's from ios devices. (it works sometimes via ifunbox but for most apps it does not.)
only on pc/mac does it actually download the full Ipa.
Looks like they do keep the previous versions but allow to download them only in very special cases. Like this one:
