Best Backup Practices
OK. I'm a bad person who never backs up. But I am proud to say I'd be really bummed if I lost all the music I've made over the past six months.
So what's the best way to back up your songs and settings?

I already had the paid dropbox for other stuff so i'm just using that
Of course that means Condoleezza Rice might be listening to my music without me knowing but what can you do?
This is actually not as straightforward a question as I thought. iCloud, for instance, will not back up the information within Cubasis, say; only the app itself. Or so it was confusingly explained to me by an Apple rep. For the backup of the data within the apps, I'd need to use iCloud Drive, which sounds like Dropbox. An article on cnet tries to explain.
Or should I just sync to my computer? I stopped doing that ages ago, a habit from the days of 80GB iPods. But maybe that's the best way to make sure all my Cubasis sketches in 1.9 are preserved in case things go haywire when I upgrade.
Any advice on any of this?
For nonsensitive information i prefer some sort of cloud solution
I'm not sure what storage limits the free versions have but iCloud and Dropbox seems like solid choices since they're pretty much universally supported
If you have dropbox, then go to Media bay in Cubasis, go to the projects menu, select your project, click share and share your project to Dropbox, if prompted whether to zip select yes.
You will then get a zip file of your project containing all audio, MIDI tracks etc.....The only thing that will not get backed up is which presets are used within IAA's (because IAA has no state saving). I get round this by freezing any IAA tracks to audio first.
Once you have the zip file on dropbox, you can use a pc to move it from dropbox to any other storage media you like, meaning you do not need to have a subscribed dropbox just for the space (obviously you can if you want them permanently available online).
If you want to get a project back then just do the reverse, place your zip file back into your dropbox folder on the PC, sync dropbox, then from the dropbox app on your device, select your zip file and select open in - Cubasis.
I think it will work the same with iCloud drive also.
If you do not want to use online storage, then instead of sharing to dropbox/iCloud, share to zip, you will then be able to get to the zip file through iTunes filesharing or the inbuilt FTP server in Cubasis.
Different apps have different ways to backup. There is no 'Back everything up' option
I backup my ipa's with iFunBox on the computer
