I wish you many moments of happiness to equal the one you've kindly shown Fruitbat1919.

The value of music goes beyond mere survival through repetition, robosardine.

But I digress, and to continue with the theme, I consider much of present day pop music as the equivalent of semi-musical word processing, and that includes much of the one-man in-the-box stuff, inclusive of my own alas, for I am a victim of circumstance (or whatever other convenient excuse comes to mind!).

Me too. However much I crave that feeling that came with the live jam of yesteryear, I have become that which I decry. I can jam out some stuff that sounds vaguely musical (limited by my own laziness to practice), yet I record derivative drivel with little soul, why? Because I'm lazy. I use my iPad music making as a relaxing part of my ever chaotic life and hence I refuse to make it a major effort on my part. Zappa summed it up with 'Be in My Video'

    Bad quality copy

The "millennial whoop" is taking over pop music

I'm glad I watched that vid for the Baltimora clip. So good!
