Getting audio from Safari to Audioshare in iOS?

Any way to get audio from the internet into Audioshare using Safari on iOS?

In particular from freesound.org?

Yeah yeah, desktop to iTunes... Come on, this is the '90s, and I'm way too lazy.

  • I still have the browser option available from Audioshare. I purposefully have not updated just to keep the feature.

  • Right, Audioshare used to have this built in but Apple forced him to remove the function. If you've updated AS past 2.7 you are outta luck.

  • Is it downloadable? If so, there is an app called Amerigo that can download and open files in a lot of other apps, including audio and music apps.

  • Use GoodReader browser to download the file then Open In... AudioShare. Works. Just tested with free sound.

    Googling found this https://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/amerigo-turbo-browser/id531198828?l=en&mt=8
Searching in the US app store for Amerigo doesn't turn it up though, weird.
Though it did cause me to stumble on an app called 'Crossy Tiny Bird Tappy - Sky Surfers Jumping' by Dung Nguyen
Really weird! Seems to be a knock off mashup of Flappy Bird and Crossy Road, and all his other apps look to be knock off mixes. What are the odds any of that crap is worthy of clapping your hands with? Probably about 2^276709 to one against.
btw the guy who originally wrote Flappy Bird is named Dong Nguyen

  • Gah, went the desktop route. Don't think I'll be doing much sample scouring anyways.

Same here. Lots of goodies available on https://archive.org

I think GoodReader is as essential as AudioShare for many things, especially video, but also audio.

  • I'd add iFiles 2 to the list of essential apps...
Web-Downloader/Browser, SMB-Server for easy file transfers and iOS-FileProvider making files acceible where DocumentPicker is used :)

  • Or you can use icab mobile
