If I had the money, I would be first in line. I love that you don't need a laptop to set it up.
It doesn't work with the cck3. Which makes it worthless to me
Genius at work...Linnstrument...wow ...the ultimate controller
I really like Gas Williams videos...to the point, in depth reviews no bla bla
How much are they?
Interesting but IMHO the entire point of having an external controller is for tactile feedback. I can't imagine being able to play this instrument without your eyes being glued to the controller at all times. All of these external devices that have ribbon controllers or that are made entirely of flat pads make me wonder why a person wouldn't just use the iPad screen itself.
There's a big difference in feel between pads with raised surfaces and indents to a flat piece of glass.
I'd get one if I could justify the cash.
I'm in the very middle in my decision to get a Roli Seaboard RISE or Linnstrument. Yeh, having to keep my eyes fixed on the surface may be inhibiting. On the other had, it is clearly its own instrument and in no way a gimmick. Very well thought out and very well built. Once you've invested in it, you become part of its way of doing things I imagine. But people who have them tend to swear by them and love them...
Very cool instrument, great to see the expressive potential of both this and the Seaboard range.
