My newest song, "Veneno"

Usually I refrain from posting more than a song a week, but this one deserved special treatment. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

It was started in iOS Garageband, and I used its built-in Organ and Electric Piano, and also recorded the bass and rhythm guitars using the built-in amp sims. For the rest of the synths, iSem and FM Essentials for the piano theme. Afterwards, I exported it all to Auria, where I recorded the drums with DPP, the guitar theme/solos using THM, and then the usual FF Fx for mixing/pseudomastering.

Comments

  • Nice jam. I like the bass solo bridge.

  • Thank you, @telecharge! It's just a riff, which in fact stays almost throughout the song. I soloed it by accident and it was, "hey, that could be a nice breakdown". :)

  • P.S.: at first I tried GB's drummer, but the lack of access to the MIDI file turned me off. They should include a "convert to MIDI" option, like the Desktop.

Nice work! and agreed GB drummer needs a convert to MIDI function

    Wow!

This reminds me of Carlos Santana when he was on top!

@Theconnactic must be one of the most skilled musicians on this forum!

    Well done mastering also!

    Thank you so much, @ErrkaPetti!!

  • Very, very nice sound and splendid musicianship. For my personal taste, I'd love to hear lyrics added.

I have actually thought about adding lyrics to my next songs. Thank you very much indeed, @Nkersov.

  • P.S.: and thank you as well to everyone that listened the song! Have a nice week, everybody! Dimitri.

  • Great tune Dimitri....you're incredibly prolific too.

  • Thank you very much, @marliess!

P.S.: the iPad and iOS music ecosystem is the main reason I became so prolific. Because I always have my iPhone 4S with me and my iPad in my backpack. So, for example, when I get bored in the subway, I can take my iPhone, fire GB or Medly and sketch a new song, or develop further a previous sketch. The result is that now I have enough well developed song sketches to keep releasing a new song per week until the end of the year, even if I suddenly stop having new ideas, which is quite unlikely.

P.P.S.: I have to add, this one was spared by the Soundcloud spam gang for some unknown reason: no fake likes, no fake comments or fake profiles trying to P.M. me. That block+delete combo must have been doing its trick. :)
