IOS10 version was working well until I updated to iOS10

I held off as long as I could but Apple was insistentent that I update my iPad Pro to iOS10. Yet again an iOS update puts my music recording on hiatus. Now whenever I launch an app there is no sound, and if I try to record I get no sound recorded. This seems to be affecting all apps, though somehow earlier today I managed to record a few tracks using one of the newer apps (Addictive Pro synth). Is anyone else having issues running iOS 10 and the latest version of AudioBus?

Are your apps updated to their latest version?
I think its best to turn automatic updates on in iPad settings > iTunes & App Store

  • @YorosonicStudios -- I've seen other's suggest doing a hard reset on the iPad. Are you using an audio interface? Curious what apps you've tried? Does the Apple Music app work okay?

  • I really don't agree that turning on automatic updates is a good idea. I really think it's better to update apps manually.

We probably need more info to suggest any reasonable help, such as the device and any other devices it's connected through etc. Just to put it in perspective, I've had less problems with the iOS 10 update than any other major updates since my device was new with iOS 8. So, I can only suggest that iOS 10 as an update alone may not be the cause of the problem, unless it's due to an issue with loss of sound through an external device.

I recently had an issue with the 'hire film to gain back space' cheat. It all ended up in a right iOS mess and a full reinstall of everything. Thankfully I find these sorts of situations rare with iOS, but at the end of the day, computers and OSS are sometimes there to test are patience ;)

Hope you have luck finding a solution :)

  • I'm scared Like a kid to update. I feel like apple keeps yelling at me then forcing me to input my darn login once they push the update adware. :disappointed:

maybe the security thing that you have to allow access to the microphone (a soundcard is considered the same from IOS point of view) for each app again...

  • ^^ I bet you that's the case. Anyone have troubles with iOS 10 or am I good to update my iOS so it can forcefully Siri the hell out of me?

  • Does animoog for iPhone still work on a 6s on iOS 10?

I just ran it standalone, via AUM and Audiobus on 6+, and all is well.

  • Automatic Updates are really Bad idea, better you Check first, than make a Update by yourself.
