I start a patterning drum loop that is 4 measures long, 4 kick beats on the 1, and yet GTL seems to want to start the loop in the middle of the measures on the off beat. And then when it comes back around it seems to miss the 1st beat again. Maybe I need a tutorial on how to make this thing work? Loopy is so much more intuitive IMO despite its lack of features in comparison and it just works.

    edit: I just don't get it. I must be stupid. For the life of me I can't get the darn thing to start on the beat. I've had this problem before. I'm giving up in frustration for the night but I'll try again tomorrow. Argh.

    I'm working on the new MIDI setup now, I will try and add CUE for mute and overdub options in the next update as well.

    It's upon to us to hit the right moment to countdown to the beat. I use blocs wave, launchpad and GTL and it matches perfectly with the CUE button and 1234. Do you have these on your version? (I'm helping with betatesting and maybe I have last additions over appstore version).

    Ok so I think a good night's sleep has fixed whatever issues I had. Now the app is starting and stopping on the beat and the only thing I did was start both applications again and made sure to start from a brand new file. I did mess around with MIDI clock sync, tuning that on and sending MIDI clock from Patterning to GTL. However then when it magically synced up I tried turning it off but with no difference - now the apps are just working.

    @jmarshallgtl I had full intention of recording a video, and obviously from my results the problem is with me! Now that I have things working I'll give it a go to see if I can reproduce what was occurring for me, but for now I hope it doesn't come back. I appreciate your participation in this forum, thank you.

    I was wondering maybe the problem was with pattering but glad to see you have solved it. Also come to GTL forums if you have more issues, @jmarshallgtl is very helpful and open for improvements ^^
